Otherworldly and flawless. So much hairy stuff here. I'm baffled.

Also, Jacob Harris' hand is magic.

Was a bit stop/start at the beginning. Not sure why it needed all of that, but once the London stuff kicked in then it was incredible.

Wow, that was so good.  I've always loved watching Chris Jones, but this is definitely my favorite part from him that I've seen so far.  That switch flip at the end was insane.

I'm not trying to take away anything for Chris Jones' skating--he's easily one of my favorite pros out right now--but god damn can we agree that Jacob Harris is equally as important, if not more(!?!?) than the people he is filming? A total fucking master of his craft and absurdly productive. Our culture is 20 years into the VX and 30 years into the skate video as a whole and he is still making something new and captivating. Unbelievable.

So humbled and stoked to be watching this unfold in real time.
Skateboarding is the best it's ever been because of Jacob and co.
His work is going to be relevant a decade from now.

Was at the premiere for this. Chris is simply the best. Such a humble guy, to juxtapose how gnarly his skating is

That switch flip ender was filmed only hours before the premiere, absolutely nuts.

The 17 min video to go with this part is fantastic.

So stoked that London is so much in the limelight at the moment, and these boys are at the forefront. Jake can do no wrong.

Couldn't agree more.

It hit me while watching this: Jacob Harris is going to go down as one of the greatest skate filmmakers of all time. His work is so compelling while carrying an emotional weight I've never really experienced in skate videos before. A beautiful representation of what street skateboarding is about: the mood, sound, colors, etc. Jacob is truly creating art that transcends the medium itself.

Everything Jacob Harris puts out is excellent. Anyone else think Chris Jones has one of the best switch styles?

Watching Jacobs videos gives me the same feeling I had watching Dan Wolfe’s videos when they were coming out. You just knew you were watching something new and special.

Last night, I was hanging with one of my skate buddies who doesn't know much about skateboarding apart from what would be hot at Zumiez. I can't confirm but I could say that Jaws would be his favorite skater.

I showed him Vase last night, he texted me earlier today and was like "I never realized skating could be like that"

Let's reflect on when Jake finished Eleventh Hour and in interviews said he wouldn't make another skate video. When VASE came out I was both surprised and thrilled to see him complete another. Since then, he seems to have really come through with the Grey Nicaragua piece, Atlantic Drift, the Palestine edit, TWS Cinematographer, and now this. He seems to be doing his other projects on the side as well but I'm so happy to see him still filming his friends skate because he's the best one doing it right now in my opinion.
Chris is also insanely productive, going pro with his ender in Vase, Atlantic Drift, Sprit Quest, and apparently some volunteer humanitarian type stuff with Skate Pal ?? Such a great style too

Chris is the best and Jake is a crucial actor in worldwide skateboarding right now for sure. obviously his works will leave a timeless mark on its history, it's already happening. watching Vase for the first time (and especially Chris' and Tom's parts) I was in awe the whole time thinking (regardless of how pretentious that might sound) 'those guys are modern artists'. like, if I had to put skateboarding on display for the masses to try and understand what we pursue as far as the process of street skating and cinematography, that would be just it. and yes, Jake's productivity is incredible, he's dropping edits left and right, all the while being one of the best skaters in London too. I guess he just lives and breathes the damn thing.

Last night, I was hanging with one of my skate buddies who doesn't know much about skateboarding apart from what would be hot at Zumiez. I can't confirm but I could say that Jaws would be his favorite skater.

I showed him Vase last night, he texted me earlier today and was like "I never realized skating could be like that"

that's nice, and a good way to put it too. my friends and I try to instill that in people too, mainly the local kids who pretty much live at the skatepark here and whatnot, so you can tell they are really passionate about skateboarding, but they don't know where to start in terms of video inspiration because we're so inundated with content. so we regularly set up very simple, little premieres of our favorite indie vids in my small hometown, and so much more people show up there with actual enthusiasm compared to whenever the shop premieres the latest Vans or Globe ad. the kids are just yearning for a direction, the industry should stop feeding them with shit. anyway it's so cool to get to show them good stuff without blatant commercial branding, they usually welcome it with open arms too, and the type of feedback you hear from them after is priceless.
