Things I got from this so far.

Chris: "so how many years older is your brother"

Diego: "he 33"

Chris: "yes but what's the age gap? "

Diego : "I'm 23"

Daewon needs his own episode , so does Paul Shier, Karl Watson, and Chico

What DJ Chavez  said about shops "cool guying" it made sense, honestly if you want business , treat your customers with some respect, not every boutique skateshop needs to follow the supreme model

Pretty sure Nora and Chris were low key flirting

Yeah we do not need a full episode with Diego
Daewon needs a full episode, he kinda looks like ET in this
Nora always seems to be smiling which is a good and very attractive trait, I wonder if she'll date another skater or what

Good thing Rog asked about the ice lounge, because the stories that lead to were amazing. Insane to think that in 2002 Salman and crew basically put together a site that had elements of facebook, instagram, and youtube all in one.

I second the notion that Paul Shier should have his own episode. Dude is super funny and a well spoken guy.

Salman was one of my favorite guys growing up and I still love him. Such a smart dude and an amazing skater.

Daewon should get his own episode as soon as possible.

Nora rocks her new haircut very well, and I was very very surprised about dj chavez and Shier.

Good stuff.

Nine club wishlist: Steve Olson (shortys), Ronnie Creager, Muska, Kareem Campbell, Henry Sanchez, James Kelch, Ricky Oyola, Josh Kalis, Greg Hunt...

I’m a fan of Nora’s but I don’t really understand why she gets so much praise. It’s great to see women in skating and I understand how she encourages other girls to skate but people, especially Reda act as if there hasn’t been any female pros before her. I thought that adidas Nora documentary was a little over the top.

Sincerely,
Confused

Agreed.  DJ and this younger guy that works there are always rad to me.  I was always wondering why Kingswell was selling adidas before, but apparently they are now

The stats thing was cool to hear about. I remember glancing at Exposure Meter. TheBoardr cats are running the skate data game now a days.

Josh at WiSkate.com built an instagram style setup for flip phones back in the late 90s I always thought was rad.

Sounds like DJ Chavez gives a shit about his skate scene. Customer service is key.

Daewon is great.

Agreed.. Great skater but come on
Pretty obvious marketing move on adidas part to cash in on the current female empowerment trend

Nora is very marketable, is friendly, has a good attitude and she happens to rip as well.
Are there guys that are better than her? Of course there are, but that's not always what pro skateboarding is about.
Pro skating is getting paid to skate on a high level and to represent the companies you skate for (aka shifting product and that's what EVERY company wants.).

She might not appeal to a lot of dudes skating wise. I hear a lot of the 'yeah she's hot and alright but that spot should be taken by 'insert random name here'. But I'm 1000000% sure she's a big inspiration for a lot of young girls out there. And that's a demographic that's very open for skateboarding since it's basically an activity that's mostly done by men... So what's wrong with having a good role model for young girls?

When I grew up in the 90's. Girls on a skateboard were a VERY rare breed. These days there are groups that teach girls how to skate.

Kids always look for thing they can dweep/relate to and having a cool girl on the team is always cool. Just like Black skaters have explained that they got slack by their peers in the past for skating, but that it was suddenly 'ok' to skate when other black kids saw Stevie skating etc...

Also I was a chubby kid, and would be psyched when I saw a 'bulkier' pro out there. It would motivate me 'if he can do it, so can I!'

end of rant...

I think that Nora is the most "professional" female skateboarder. She puts in hard work to promote herself and the brands she rides for as well as being a top notch female skater.

I rewatched Elissa Steamer's epicly later'd the other day and she basically didn't want all the responsibilities of being pro and wanted to just chill. Same with Marisa Dal Santo after filming like one part with JT. There were obviously a good amount of ripping girls before Nora but she's been the one to pursue being a big name pro and succeeded.

you can tel Nora treats it like a job and see's that she can expose herself to lots of other opportunities through being a positive female ambassador  of skateboarding.
I respect that, but I also don't care about anything she does.

I think it was the Brooklyn projects guy that irked me. Just seemed unattached and trying to fit in really hard.

He said something along the lines of “I know a lot of skateboarders don’t like this guy” when talking about Chris Brown being his friend. But in reality I would hope most everyone doesn’t like that fucking guy.
Maybe I'm just so cool I wanna die.

Hes was kinda like that John Buscemi guy except he tried way too hard to seem broke/core . If Beiber shops at your spot and blows it up via IG, you're not core
