I’m pretty sure those are 808. He cranks them down so they look slimmer than usual
If you see offensive comments, just let it go into one eye and let it out of the other eye, no tears and not sadness or anger.

Yep they the grey day 808s. Everyone is so hungry for the Reynolds pro model any clip he posts with shoes that look slightly unfamiliar causes mass speculation

Do NB numbers me anything?

I got some NB Numeric 379 Lows coming up on end of life. Loved the fit, but NB doesn't make them anything... offhand the 306 looks most similar, but I have no idea.

This comes up semi-frequently in here and I think it's been confirmed that the numbers generally indicate how much tech is in the shoe. So the higher the number, the more tech-y the shoe is. That's why the 1010, a cupsole with Fuel Cell, Phantom Fit, etc. has such a higher number and the 272, a simple thinner vulc has a much lower number.

There are outliers to this which usually are the existing New Balance shoes that had some features changed and were added to the Numeric line. So examples of this are the 480, 574, etc.

higher number technically the more tech in the shoe

And I did the same w the Reynolds’s clips. Numeric got the hype and momentum for sure right now, even the 1010 he posted In the hard post is fire, haha

Nice. I wonder if that’s when other places will release them too. That’s not far away.

How limited is this 480BOS gonna be?  Starting to fear I won’t be able to get my hands on this beauty.  Also am I mistaken for thinking this shoe could fit on the wider side?  I would really like that to be the case…

The other two are still available. Don’t think these will sell out right away. But I can see them being gone a month or two after release. And they’re not that wide IMHO. Kinda in the middle to me.

Color the N lime green and throw lime green dunk laces in them and they're a modern NB# version of the Jedi dunks BA used to skate a good bit

Kinda has some 288/1010 paneling influences, will look good with my "aging skater Dad" kit.

You should be able to find these without much problems.  There's a TON of shop interest in them so most stores gobbled them up from us, so finding a pair shouldn't be difficult.

The 288 line has had so many versions, I'm an OG 288 lover and I'm mad that the OG 288 got upgraded to a sportier version, then the Westgate 508 uses the same sole as the OG but isn't as sleek looking because of all the panels, but is basically the same shoe.
Now the Knox shoe looks like a further iteration of the 288 sport.
Lets go full circle and go back to the OG 288 :) that being said, all NB shoes have ruled that I've skated.

I’m actually a huge fan of the sport version of the 288, really love the indoor soccer shoe look from it so I’m hyped the Knox shoe is taking it further. Sadly never got a chance to skate the original 288 but as you said the 508 uses the same shoe so maybe I’ll check that out, but really holding out on buying any shoes until the Tom Knox comes out. @rothdigga when is the release date for em???

Anybody skate the 425? Skated 2 pairs of 440's and curious about the similarity between the two.
We rode 7.5's" and didn't complain.

Can't wait to try 480 and Knox shoes, skate shoe future looks bright.
In the meantime the 1010 that I bought because the color was interesting (didn't knew if I hated or loved them at first, option B wink wink) are serving me so good for skating and for walking I'm using the all black 808 since at the end that little missing chunk was bothering me for tres.

anyone else get a pair of 480s that has a slightly taller heel arch in one shoe over the other? idk if i got a defective pair and i don’t think my feet are fucked up but it is a little uncomfortable and i’ve reached out to customer service from where i bought the but no response. i’ll probably skate them anyway and get another pair in hopes it’s just this one pair

The arch support is in the shape of the insole. If you remove it from the shoe you will see that the insole is wider than the footbed, which pushes it upwards on the inside. Try insoles from some other NB or trim it maybe?

also @Underpressureflips you messaged me about my 480s but blocked my messages so I can't hit you back
