Got some of the Tom Knox 600s.  Although they look like the 288 Sport kind of they don't feel like it at all.  Feels more like combo of 440/1010.  Pretty thick heel which I'm not stoked on.  Haven't skated them yet though.  Seem TTS and are pretty comfy.

How’s the forefoot? Is it thin there like the 440s? That’s the only thing that would stop me from buying them. I don’t like the vulc feel.
[close]

The forefoot in the 600 seems slightly thicker than the 440.
Thanks. I might have to check ‘em out. Really like the white/green ones.

I know what makes a shoe vulcanized. I’m saying they “feel” like one in the forefoot.

Which is kinda the point.

“With its C-CAP heel wedge helping to absorb impact and keep it lightweight, the 440 has the board feel of a vulcanized shoe with the impact protection of a cupsole.”

They’re a great shoe, just too thin for me.

I’m not a 440 hater. I own a few pair and the newest Tom Knox colorway is my favorite. I just can’t skate in them for an hour. My sessions have gone longer since I switched to shoes with more padding.

I’ll probably still wear the SSD ones in the future. It’s cool that NB# basically has shoes for everyone. Vulcs, hybrids, medium cupsoles, beefy ones, etc.

Is the toebox as roomy as the 1010?

Pretty similar, maybe not quite as roomy.

How’s the midfoot? My main issue is having a wide midfoot as opposed to a toebox, so even the “wider” shoes squish the shit out of my feet

The midfoot on the 600s does not seem wide.  Fits better than the 440 for me.

No extra laces, no tongue centering straps.

If anyone has comments on the 600 fit compared to the 440 and 1010 I would love to hear it.

1010's fit too tight on my toes while 440's in the same size are perfect with a bit of space so just curious.

Hey guys, whats the consensus on the sizing for the 1010? TTS or do they run 1/2 a size bigger like WearTested mentions (https://www.weartested.com/tiago-1010/)?

440 Trails anyone? anyone?

Do they fit the same as the 440 lows?

Anyone had a pair? Looking for a winter skate inspired shoe that's not a full on boot/ hiker but can take a bit of a hammering... not necessarily going to skate in them but that could be a bonus. Found some on deep discount.

TTS. Myself and many, many friends have worn many pairs of the 1010 and are all TTS. It might feel a bit roomy at first, but trust me as you wear them in your foot will slowly sit more towards the front of the shoe. The heel has a cup to it so your foot doesn't sit exactly against the back as it would on say a Vans which has a flat insole/heel.

I went TTS on mine. They were pretty tight in the toe area at first while still having some heel slip but once they broke in both issues went away. They did take weeks to break in but it was worth it.

I just ordered some trails too (probably from the same discount you're looking at). I went a half size up because I like to wear thicker socks with winter shoes and I'm glad I did. Can't comment on if they're actually water resistant or how they hold up yet.

As someone who has probably worn more 440 trails than anyone, TTS for sure unless like stated above, you're going to rock extra socks or something like that.  I've stepped in snow and shallow streams and they've been fine but a full water dunk and they'll be wet.  Progressively they're getting more and more water resistant materials though.  The olive green/black ones have been very good to me that are out this season.

Thanks. That's the color way I am eyeing. I'm 11.5 in 212/213 but will likely go 12 to account for heavy duty merino wool socks and bc I wear 12s in the regular 440s.

Seen them for 95 euros, it seems more accurate price. I want to cop them as soon as possible but I still have a pair of Tom's 440 highs on ice...

I have the olive green/black ones as well, and can confirm they seem to have more water resistant materials than previous iterations. Thanks Roth!

Regarding the 600 Tom Knox shoe what’s the sizing like? Regular 288s always fit a half size too big for me, so I’d go 11.5 vs 12. 12 in everything else 440, 1010, and 808. Should I do the same with the 600? How close is the fit to the 288s?
