I agree but it would be good to have halfway bulky versions and limited editions full replicas for the fans. Just like DC did with the legacy and slim version. It would be great to see a 30% slimmed down exact replica of the lynx.
And on the same concept éS should do a slimmed K3 replica.

If there’s a market for it, I don’t really see a problem with these re-releases and retro-inspired designs.  Also potentially smart because original designs from the late 90’s and early 00’s are one thing Nike and Adidas don’t have. 

I checked out some of those DC legacy joints at orchard in Boston last week and they looked perfectly reasonable to skate in.

No but it means they might cut loose and disappear in the middle of the night leaving their (albeit much smaller) team in the wind  when they don't have the money they want again. They fucked McCrank, TX, Bobby Worrest, Justin Eldridge, and more last time. If they dare hurt Tom Asta and Wade I don't know what I'll do.

I mean, they never use the OG tooling on those new retros (aside from the legacy, lynx, osiris d3) its always a variation on the OG tooling which costs just as much to produce molds for. Might aswell design something new if your already spending the money. But I do want to see a company hit the sweet spot with retros, not too bulky, all the original details and materials, and a longer toe. Id like to see eS redesign the Vireo or the Tribo. And a proper retro of the creager, not that god awful swift 1.5
