Bought a pair of the Reynolds 3 ReIssue at a shop, a complete Nostalgia purchase & they were only $35.

Skated them that & yesterday.

Complete garbage.

The foxing tape is so thick that it makes you feel like you're skating in a bumper car.

The shoe was so wide that on the second session my foot was basically swimming in the shoe (yes, i sized the shoe appropriately, half size down was like a vice & I thought the shoe needed a bit of stretching in my actual size.... it stretched way to easily)

The padded tongue, isn't the original dense padding at all & is more akin to fluffy cotton balls.

So basically I ended the pair after 2 sessions & determined I couldn't skate in a cotton ball bumper car of a shoe.

I really wanted them to work, I really did.

Back to New Balance's.

Can't wait for my Black Friday/ Cyber Monday shit to come in. Went all out and bought:

Killing Floor Tony Cox guest board from Chutingstar sale for $21.00
A pair of white Lakai Sheffieds for $23.00
Some new Gramicci pants from ebay for $23.00
State Keys, State Salems, Killing Floor Herbie Hancock T-shirt, and Dickies 67 all for $85.00 from 35th Ave

Thats a ton of shit for 152 bucks... 1 board, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of pants, and a t shirt.

I'll take a pic when it all come in.

Vintage?

Well, that was the only white one out of the set. The rest are yellow as fuck. So they've definitely been sitting for a while. Ebay shop (and real life as far as I know) called Toddtwist. It's ran by Sean Goff, an 80/90s vert pro. There's often stuff on there that could be considered sort of vintage at very resonable prices. For example I got some World industries shoes for like £10

Don't know what the deal is with people in South America trying to bring back dead brands, can't deny the product is still quality and cheap so fuck it.
Another pair of Fallen samples and a 8.12 THink deck, apparently they are doing Think out of Chile. From what ive seen, they aren't really trying to market these brands globally, just locally.

Hahaha that is the most succinctly accurate review of that shoe.

Picked up two pairs of Figgy Dose for $60 (on sale for $40/pair; Zumiez had buy one, get one half off). Haven't skated Emericas since the early-2000s, looking forward to trying them out.

Was in need of bearings,  went in the shop and asked for whatever was cheap that you could pop the shields off of and this was all they had (besides reds which they've now risen the price of to 20 bucks).

Hopefully these don't suck (even though they probably will).

Did the same thing - good shoe, hopefully both fit you since both my pair fit completely different. Emerica qc has been shit lately.

F4 Radials. Once I skate these; I'll have tried all the F4 shapes and might be able to decide which I like best.

Ordered a roger board from no-comply on cyber Monday and it’s been stuck in an infinite loop of “in transit to next destination “ since it left. Schedule delivery was Thursday.
Will post photo if it ever appears

I haven't but a) you know I'm riding a fairly big passport deck at the moment and b) there will be no more Chico boards on Chocolate which is really the end of an era right there. He always looked like he was having so much fun on that shape so I just had to buy it. I'll chuck a c) in there too and say it looks like the type of shape where big pants/ small wheels were just about to become popular, but there was still that video days/ early new deal-era vibe which just pulls so hard at those nostalgia strings in my heart.

I picked up a set of Tensor ATG mag lights during the 40%off sale Dwindle was having.  Never skated Tensors before but couldn't help myself. Gonna swap them out with my Venture 5.8s and give them a shot.

All from Seasons cyber monday sale:
8.5 Club
8.5 Frog
Adidas Campus ADV

From the shop closest to me (Branded):
Alltimers Hoody

The boards were from Seasons' 2 mystery boards for $55 deal. I'm not super familiar with Club skateboards, but it seems like James Sayres who used to ride for northern co rides for them. I get the impression that it's a group of friends who made a company to turn their friends pro, which I like a lot. There most recent instagram post is someone doing a crook shuv on a ledge so it's hard not to back them. Not sure what woodshop they use (if you know, I'd be interested) or anything but I think it's a cool board. The frog board is impressively silly. Not my normal choice but I like their edits and stuff and it's shape looks fine so I'll ride it.
