Skated mini ramp last night, getting much more relaxed and confident than I have ever been on transition.
Super stoked to have access to a newly built private warehouse ramp that is basically perfect and my good homie is the owner/keymaster, by the way it's Rene Matthyssen, ex New Deal pro and he's doing great and still rips.
Lots of incredible sessions lately with a good mix of young gun rippers and old wily shredders, it is awesome to still be able to mix it up with cats that I'm old enough to be their dad as well as guys I've been skating with for 20 plus years in the same sesh.
Also I used to kind of shy away from being the old guy but these days I relish in it and love when people see me skate and ask how old I am.
I'm gonna be 47 in 2 months and I've never felt more comfortable on a skateboard in the 30 years I've been doing this.
Whatever you do, DO NOT quit skating.
You may skate less, and you may have other interests and activities or girlfriend/wife/kid stuff going on in your life, most of us do, but under no circumstance should you ever 100 percent quit skateboarding, don't even think about it.
We've all seen those dudes, and they are not happy.
Don't be that dude.
