There’s been a lot of Suciu hate for how many parts he threw out, which I semi-understand. At the same time, he’s not the first—Mason Silva dropped four parts during his SOTY run. Haven’t done my research but I feel like Foy dropped at ton of parts as well. And then Nigel (and few others) made an obvious and and orchestrated effort for SOTY with multiple parts and calculated drops, which have been both good and bad. Anyways, there’s the productivity SOTY angle.
The other angle could be the hellride angle. Milton, for instance. And now T-Funk, who folks are arguing should win off a single trick. Obviously, it was an awesome trick, but it was still one trick. Also the hellride angle is always rail heavy, which in my opinion, gets stale.
Just curious what should constitute a true SOTY. Personally, I’m not as sold on the hellride single trick/single hellride part run (I mean…does that mean we give it Midler? Also it always leans rails heavy, a la Kyle Walker, Foy, etc.) but im also not a fan of the overload (big Suciu fan, but even I feel like he could use a little less exposure and a bit more mystery).
Just curious… some might say…bi-curious
