I think we're all misinterpreting this. They're really helping her give birth. The grey haired gentleman (I'm guessing the father) is talking softly to the baby, coxing it out. The wizard (maybe the baby's uncle?) is there for moral support. He's looking at the camera to make sure this beautiful moment is being captured for posterity. This is actually a touching family moment.
