His pro model was just a skateable version of a previously existing shoe (the Onestar 70 something).

I am in no way defending Converse, and the way they fucked over Pops, but just to point out: this shoe has nothing to do with Converse retaining his design.

His shoe was based off of an old 70's model (the suede All Star or Jack Star), the same model this shoe is based on.

The white and blue suede ones are a special shoe produced in very small numbers by Converse, for Inventory. Inventory chose the model, and the materials and details.

Converse paid the tab. And put them out.

And it's not in the skate line.
