Where is this park at? Looks like the un-official Cons training facility.

I know this guy who's line on a mini ramp consists of dropping in, rock to fakie then tail stall, would seriously do it like 10 times before doing another trick, and that was mostly kick-outs.

It's the indoor skatepark at the Bellevue Plaza. The Bellevue Plaza was the last stop in the Beauty and the Beast Tour. The first one. Bellevue as in a suburb of Seattle, Wa. Cons is one of the sponsors for the park. Your friend sounds like me, haha. Anyways I posted this video, because during this competition I almost nominated myself to enter this comp, because I like COTG am a ledge whore, but I can skate tranny I just suck at it.

I think we should all do a gentleman's bet. If any of you knows what that means. But a gentleman's bet on doing a nollie heel noseslide to forward on transition. Any takers?

friendly dave

Fuck. I'll giver a try next time I'm at the park. I think I'd probably have better luck trying to do the whole thing fakie though.

Thats sick, that dude isn't my friend by the way, I hate the kid, thinks he's super cool, does breathing exercises before he skates.

Thats a dangerous concept. If done wrong, that could get really mobby and unflattened (if you get what I'm saying, hard to explain).

From the latter to the former I think is how it's gone. But I think Colin just took up a nollie heel noseslide on tranny bet, are we putting a deadline and a wager on that?

COTG, was that you dunking at the Girl open house in this video???

http://www.tackyworld.com/skateboard/video/?id=172150

I know you go to these things and you've talked about being a basketball head in the past and from your footage I think you definitely resemble this dude.
Maybe it's just me.
Anyway.

Also, wondering what's your take on the redesign of the warehouse?
Definitely more transition friendly but still has those street elements like manny pads, ledges, marble hubba and rail.

Place looks pretty fun don't you think?
Get your newfound tranny game up and you could be all in the mix there next year!

that's not me. and the course sucks now. Adding transition is not cool. Just makes it more park rat friendly.

^ I know all about that. Doing kickflip fakies like 2 feet up it the tranny of it and shit. Kind of a shame that when parks actually had vert ramps, I had no idea what to do with them, now that I kinda get some of the vert basics and really want to learn, they are nowhere to be found.

360 flip noseslide on tranny looks sick. Danny did it on vert.

what's y'all's favorite tricks on tranny? Mine are frontside feebles. They just feel so right. Second place is frontside rocks, which felt the best until I tried front feebles

A good and proper rock and roll is my favourite. Front wheels on the deck of the ramp, back truck touching the coping and trying to do it as fast and aggressively as you can is the best feeling.

If you can do frontside feebles on transition I am very envious.
Backside is a different story though, been doing those forever and they're wayyyy easier, I love doing them both to fakie or regular.
Frontside Smiths are one of the best feeling tricks when locked in with rail buried on the coping, and on pool coping, forget about it shit can't be beat.
Definitely a favorite but lately trying to float bigger backside ollies to tail and backside disasters, those feel so much better when you put some loft into them and get a loud smack.

I suck at transition, but doing a good long f/s slash is the best feeling for me.

agreed 100%. i like fs rocks too, but i tend to do them at the end of my runs because it's such a weird trick that i can't always keep my speed with them unless i get it perfectly, so i don't bother doing them in the beginning and blowing my turn. i'd say pivot fakies are my second favorite, since they're easier than front feebles but harder than any other warm up trick, so like when i'll throw one out in my first couple runs, and whenever i land one, i know i'm fully warmed up. that's when i start trying to learn new tricks.

grinding a good 5-0 fakie is probably the best-feeling trick for me.

can i switch to trying a 360 flip noseslide?  that sounds easier--shove it noseslides aren't too bad.

actually, i'll just try both and see how it turns out.  i'm going on a trip up to gainesville for a while, where the smallest ramp is 6 feet, so it may be a little bit before i can try it.  i'll keep you posted.

I've never in my life had access to a mini, sucks.  Banks probably don't count as tranny, but sliding back tails feels bad ass.  Next time I'm at the park I gotta get one.
