« on: December 02, 2015, 01:00:48 PM »
There have been more mass shootings in the US in 2015 than days.

http://ktla.com/2015/12/02/authorities-respond-to-20-victim-shooting-incident-in-san-bernardino-fire-dept/

"Dave Hall, whose daughter goes to the facility, told KTLA that the center is used by those with mild to severe autism."

Up to three suspects still at large, heavily armed and possibly in full body armor shot up a center for people with developmental disabilities.

God damn it. Worst fucking species.

I worked for the Conservation Corps which was a few buildings to north east. I got ahold of people over there around noon, everyone is cool at the CCC if anyone knows people there.

There have been 1,516,863 gun-related deaths since 1968, compared to 1,396,733 cumulative war deaths since the American Revolution. That's 120,130 more gun deaths than war deaths -- about 9 percent more, or nearly four typical years worth of gun deaths. And that's using the most generous scholarly estimate of Civil War deaths, the biggest component of American war deaths.

We'll offer some added thoughts for context.

These figures refer to all gunfire-related deaths, not just homicides. In fact, homicides represent a minority of gun deaths, with suicides comprising the biggest share. In 2013, according to CDC data, 63 percent of gun-related deaths were from suicides, 33 percent were from homicides, and roughly 1 percent each were from accidents, legal interventions and undetermined causes.

Those who advocate that the solution to this insanity is to have guns on us every time. are mentally disabled. If u have so frequent shootings there is something wrong with the society that can produce monsters capable of blind violence..

I guarantee that this isn't just workplace violence.. Like anyone stocks explosives in their home just in case some co-workers piss you off.

Fucking dogs. Hope the cops spit on their shot up bodies while they were laying the street. They don't deserve any chance at a funeral, feed their bodies to pigs.

From everything I read, although the building houses a lot of facilities that deal with/help the mentally and physically handicapped, the room he hit was being rented out by the San Bernardino Department of Public Health (where Farook worked) so it was his co-workers that got shot up.  Obviously this doesn't detract from the sympathy felt for victims but it just makes the whole thing even weirder considering it sounds like he had a bunch of other bombs at home.  I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up coming out that the husband and wife were actually part of a bigger plot that revolved around something in LA closer to Christmas but acted on a target of convenience because they got shaky or thought they were being surveilled.

On the surveillance note, isn't this the exact type of person all this overkill in intelligence gathering is supposed to stop? The guy was known to have terrorist links, purchased the assault rifles/handguns through the legal method, took a trip to the Middle East...all these sound like pretty clear indicators that were obviously overlooked.  I guess my point is why add more hay to the stack when it's already nearly impossible to find the needle?
