The arch is one of my favourite things about the 1010s. The only shoes I skate nowadays where I don't replace the insoles for some with arch support.

If its too much, and you have flat ortholite insoles from other NBs like the 440s or 508s etc (or anything similar), putting those in the 1010s will make the arch support less aggressive

A couple days ago I jumped on some heavily discounted 1010’s online, $55 to be exact. Got them in today, sending them back tomorrow. They look great but the arch support inside was super uncomfortable for me. NB is 0 for 2 on cupsoles for me between the 1010 and the 508. Vulcs are 2 for 2 with the 574 and 272 but I’m old and can’t skate thin shoes. Probably going to grab the 288 sports my local shop has on sale.

At $55 I’d recommend just keeping them and wearing them until they break in. Give them a try. More than likely they’ll feel great after a few wears. I wasn’t really hyped on mine the first couple wears but they quickly became my favorite shoe. Maybe swap out the insoles with another pair you have.  I feel like you’re just about to strike gold but you stopped digging right before you get there. That’s how 1010’s were for me. I almost decided I didn’t like them and then boom, they just clicked. My feet and back don’t hurt after the sesh, they skate really well, and they look pretty cool.

I thought about it but I tried that with another pair of shoes earlier this year that also had an arch support that was uncomfortable to me and after two weeks of wearing them all it did was give me feet, knee, and back pain. The black and gum 600’s have caught my eye so I might hold out for a sale in them.

Looks like Anchor has a Reynolds 480 size 9 US on sale right now. I didn’t check shipping but $30 off retail is still a great deal.

Found the all black 1010 at a local (surf) shop for $55 the other day. The color I wanted most for cheaper than I’ve been able to find online, I was fired the fuck up. This pair also fits a thousand times better than the grey/blue/yellow I had from early on. The heel pads actually work for me and the tongue feels just a bit more filled out. Perfect shoes, unfortunately these 508s I recently bought might get passed over.

Can anyone who’s tried the 574s speak on the length and arch height?  I felt like the 440s I had to half size down, but the 306 was TTS lengthwise.  And hoping they’re reasonably flat arched like the 306s instead of crazy high like the 1010s.  Just doing research before trying to special order the wides.

My 45yo feet say the same thing, plus no more vulcanized shoes, please.

Concepts has more color ways, but less free shipping. The sale 808’s end up being $52.80. Some of those color ways call to me, but I can only afford the ones from Zappos…

I think the v2 of the high is a significant improvement over the original, but the low now looks more like a classic skate shoe (almost Emerica Heritic-esque) rather than a classic court shoe. I see why some would prefer it to look like a skate shoe, but I just prefer the court shoe look.

not loving the new N on the low. the 440 just looked so classic and timeless in nearly every colorway the way it was. this looks updated to just fill a very narrow timeline in footwear fashion that will eventually die off. rare NB L

I have big ass feet size 12, how are the Tiago 1010 shoes? I have average width on my feet, are they true to size or should I go smaller or bigger?

Is there a release date for the 440v2s? I'm sure it's already in this thread but I'm an idiot and can't find it if so. Every colorway I've seen so far has been great and I'm so ready to buy more shoes I don't need.
