This is a video I made, but it's essentially photography.

I really like these three. I was in San Francisco for a day last month and certainly did not see any fog like this. How often does it get like this if it's something that's consistant?

Often enough. Oddly we get a lot of fog in the summer time. But Golden Gate Bridge can get pretty intense and even pretty early in the day like 4-5pm. It sucks but most people here are used to it.

If you could send that fog over to Baltimore, I'd gladly accept it.

Poor guy got hit by a car. Excuse the grain, it shook me awake and I was fumbling with my camera in a sleepy daze.

dropbox, best idea.

question for the tech-savvy guys here: i am torn between getting a old 5D Mk1 as an addition to my 7D and selling the 7D and getting a 5DMk2...

i simply want that goddamn FF sensor, even though i of course know that i wont need it. and i kinda feel odd having 2 cameras, but i dont know if i will be happy with the slower framerate of the 5dMk2, even though i hardly ever shoot sequences.

or maybe even go for a 1DMk3?

any ideas, input, experiences? (especially upgrading from crop to FF or 5Dmk1 to mk2 or sth... hell, i would even take advice from nikon guys! haha)

well acording to dpreview, the mk1 shoots at 3fps, and the mk2 shoots at 3.9, so in reality, not much difference. So its whether you think its worth the extra money, for nearly an extra frame a second. And as for the mk3, my friend upgraded from the mk2 to the mk3 and says the only real difference for him was the video. Personally id just go with the mk1, save a bit of money and still get that quality on ff shooting

i just got the 6d. i started out looking for the 5d mark ii, but it the 6d is basically the new version of the 5d mark ii, and just a couple hundred dollars more. also way way better in low light which is pretty rad. it shoots 4.5 frames per second, and i definately wish it was faster there. i didnt think i'd care but its probably the only thing i dislike about the camera so far. I dunno if its worth the extra $$$ for a 5d mark iii or 1dmk3(if those are faster, i cant remember)

full frame is pretty cool, but also annoying that you lose so much telephoto. I dunno, its my first dslr and im super happy with it, havent shot a lot of video but it looks pretty great to me. im not a pro tho, sorry.

The 5d MkIII is the new version of the 5d MkII. If you want a full-frame camera, don't get a 1D MkIII. That's not a full-frame camera.

I don't understand what you mean by "you lose so much telephoto." You mean it's a wider shot? If you just crop it, it'll be the same thing as a camera with a smaller sensor.

Hercules, I'd say just shoot film if you want full-frame.

I wish all those pictures had things that were on fire. I'm really getting tired of being a fire fighter with no fires.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.
