Just dove into the immersive world of The Last of Us! 🎮 The plot twists kept me on the edge, and the gameplay was a rollercoaster. Now, contemplating what's next in my gaming journey.

Got a lot of hate from pea-brained sensationalists but I highly recommend Last of Us 2 if you enjoyed the first game
yeah don't stop now.
do LOU2 or watch season 1 of the show if you need another rendition of the story.

Despite all the complaints I've seen, I've been playing and enjoying MW3

Hard agree. Only played the Gamecube version, so as a kid that mission with the tri force shards was always a soft stop for me. Probably played 4-5 saves up until that part.

Wanna get a Wii U for the HD version and hacking/emulators, as GF wants some Wii nostalgia.
Wow sorry, didn't realise I was dealing with a sick cunt here

Haven't ever played the HD version, but I might end up getting a WiiU just for that and Twilight Princess HD. Homebrew software is super easy to download. YouTube helped me with that in just one evening after work. Have yet to figure out how to get Wii games to work but I'm sure YouTube can help with that as well.

If anyone is using Yuzu (Switch emulator on Android) check out the latest release on Github, the new NCE option is amazing and speeds things up incredibly. Even my old Motorola I use for gaming is handling bigger titles when it was struggling just over the weekend.

I'd been using it on my PC until I recently tried Ryujinx and got way better performance out of it, not sure if that's going to be true on Android or not though

The last game I had the pleasure of diving into was "Cyberpunk 2077." It's been quite the thrilling journey through the neon-lit streets of Night City, and the storytelling in that game is next-level!

Yuzu on PC works best for me - better CPU and GPU, haven't touched Ryujinx in a while since the feature parity on Yuzu PC / Android is close, no Ryujinx on Android at the moment. NCE is only available on Android, I think (
from r/EmulationOnAndroid
) and performance has really improved, 50+ FPS on Super Mario Wonder with a Snapdragon 870. Some games will refuse to run despite Yuzu improvements but I'm hopeful for TotK on Android with enough time - hell Yuzu on Android only came out early this year and here we are.

Planescape: Torment. Trying to focus on the dialogue and take my time. My first and only Disco Elysium playthrough a while back suffered from impatience.

Me and my girl have been on Overwatch 2 heavy. I can feel myself losing hair follicles every time I boot it up.

If any OW players here use Sombra, fuck you.
Can someone explain in Fortnite terms?

Finished the RDR2 story and epilogues
Just free roaming and doing the challenges now.
I know people have had issues with the variety of missions but the game is still incredible.

Not sure what to play next for ps4/ps5.

Any suggestions?

Nice! Such a beautiful game. Roaming around is so much fun but I really enjoyed the story and all that as well. Have you played Days Gone? That was next after I finished RDR2 a few years ago and it did not disappoint. I've been very, very slowly replaying DG again inbetween my normal FPS stuff.

Finally got a PS5 and first games first:

- Second playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 now that I have a console capable of it, and will be doing Phantom Liberty once I’m well levelled up. This game is fuckikg fantastic and I would urdge anyone on the fence to give it a go in its 2.0 incarnation.

- Spider-Man Deux : it’s a great romp, a step up from the first game in many ways and I look forward to seeing the Venom story play out.

Been getting back into my PS1, and replayed a game I have called Devil Dice. Puzzle game that I haven't tried out in decades, I think. It still worked and it's still challenging. Feels good to play a puzzle game every once in a while to work the brain.

I'm going to get back into gaming a bit, but just for my PS1. The games on my hitlist are:
  • Silent Hill
  • Star Ocean: The Second Story
  • R-Types
  • Xenogears
  • Wild Arms
  • Was thinking R-Type Delta but apparently it's ridiculously hard, like one hit and you're dead. Not really interested in a stressfest

Also if anyone has these for sale, please let me know

Haven't looked too deep into eBay listings, but I've found a few PS1 games on there for roughly $20usd. I feel like that might be the best place to look if you don't feel like going to any used/vintage games stores.

You'd be lucky to find a copy of Silent Hill for under $150 tbh and I know Xenogears sells for over $100 as well. Not sure about the other games but realistically if you're just wanting to play these games through and not collect them you'd be better off emulating them on a cheap PC or Raspberry Pi.

And with emulation you can program fast forward hotkeys, very helpful in older RPGs like Xenogears with a lot of text and unskippable cut scenes. Somewhere in disc 2 you have 20 minute of dialog boxes you have to press X to proceed, I'm not sitting through that without a x8 speed increase.

Wild Arms! That was the first proper JRPG I played and loved the opening music and cinematic.

FF 1-9 has been "remastered" for PC and available on Steam if you don't want to deal with emulation, but the fast forward hotkey may not be present.

Thanks, y'all! I actually talked about this in a video game thread I created awhile back haha. I've never been into modding or emulation or anything, I'm super old school and basic and just hunting for the hard copies.
