Legacy (Strubing, Shane Cross, Mumford) lasted only a few months.

Shaolin was a Dwindle company in ‘98 that I think lasted 3 months or less. I saw Ryan Kenreich with one at HB park.

You forgot to mention Andrew Allen on the Legacy roster.

Shaolin was around for a while before Dwindle purchased it and ruined it, any number Vision backed brands in the 90s Television, Natural, 510, Blue. How long was Color around? Family was a company that had a bunch of hype outta Deluxe that had half an Ad in Thrasher than disappeared. Populis technically before the became Popwar. One More Skate Company by Ken Park had a pretty short run, Shine was Kevin Staabs vert focused company when no one cared about Vert. The orginal version of American Dream. Vallely's east coast company Transit, Illuminati and MTA outta Zoo.

Allen.

I really loved Ted De Gros’ short lived, lesser known stint on Zero that occurred after he rode for Palace

Seek was definitely shortlived with a fucking stacked ass team..... The firm too. I feel like it was this huge brand when i started skating and then it disappeared overnight.

However, PIG WOOD was soo damn sick, good video, sick team and they disappeared. I met a few dudes from that camp when I was bartending in NYC about 10 years ago and heard all kinds of stories of how that company was super mismanaged (plus the team riders were all bugging out also haha).

Platinum skateboards and Cadillac trucks

Cadillac trucks were just shitty knock off Ventures.
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.

The Firm lasted over ten years. The reboot of Metropolitan wheels out of Deluxe never made it past an Instagram account and a Huf interview

Not the shortest, but it would've been nice if Aesthetics stuck around, turned John Igei pro and gave us a vol. 2.

For real. Aesthetics was a sick team.

How long did City skateboards last? I always felt like their graphics were like the cooler version of what Zoo York was doing at the time. Also Listen! and the super short lived Brad Staba thing through Crail that was called Ruby Republic or something - was that even real though?

They were around for a while. They start led out with Mike Maldonado and Pete Eldridge as pros, dropped them, released an all am video, and turned a few people pro after that before folding.

I have no idea why I know that.

Ruby was the girls clothing line outta Crail, Brad did boards out of it mainly Cuz it was funny to him to have a pro board on a girls clothing company. It was really just Staba having a board on Crail.

Satva Leung's company Judah Skateboards

Also the company that was the transition from Menace to City Stars: All City Skateboards
[close]

Oddly I have a Judah board still brand new but the graphic rubbed off a tad. Loved David Flores art at the time.

Judah is what I came to post.

I remember as a young kid I tried to go to www.judahskateboards.com and someone must have bought the URL because it was some pretty wild porn. It may have even been scat porn if I'm remembering correctly.
