This clip is A good example of where I see web clips heading. People seem to glaze over just skating and really pay attention to lifestyle stuff more. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just that companies will follow this formula more often because it's so image heavy and that's what sells product.

Aside from the no comply pole jam all of this was pretty meh. Also them crouching way before popping was really bugging me. It doesn't look good and it doesn't seem beneficial in any way either. But whatever, they're the ones with sponsors and not me.
Other than allowing them to get comfortable before they pop? Not everyone skates the same way. Also, that beanplant bluntslide was meh? How so?

Sean Pablo probably won't be around for long. Cocaine is a helluva drug.. Sage is one of the more promising young dudes out, but his trick selection reminds me too much of 90's Chris Pastras which isn't really a bad thing... Why doesn't Aidan Mackey get as much recognition? That dude shouldn't have to be working at whatever Jamba Juice or some shit.

the soles really aren't that thin and you only get a couple spots with holes. just cut up a piece of suede from an old shoe or whatever and patch them up using shoe goo then they're good till the soles wear out

ive been skating in some leather chucks and they're much more durable. plus if your skating the canvas ones and you know where they will wear down you can just put a dab of superglue over that part and they last much longer

How about we give him a chance, but in the meantime they put dudes we already respect like Aaron Herrington on instead and let that kid grow out of his awkward phase and actually do something that makes him worthy of attention? Because right now, he comes off as a trend hopper who hasn't done shit. Everybody backing him just says "give him a chance" which is telling. They don't have shit to point to when they try to convince people he is worth watching. He may be a nice young boy, but he's not interesting to watch at all.
Sage kills it though, even if the tricks in this were all pretty b-roll. no comply pole jams are beat.
Oh, and converse's whole new thing is "sneakers are cool" with hip people on subway ads. They are moving to try to capture the streetwear douches.

sean pablo is on converse because the internet centric buzz machine has an easy piece of meat to constantly reblog which converse sees as free advertising

if i do a simple hashtag search there are twice as many #seanpablo photos as #aaronherrington photos which are twice as many opportunities for converses to be seen.
aaron herrington is social media challenged. he doesn't 'get' the internet and in todays sk8world this is a huge detriment.

there is no context to your career without tenured skaters/blogs showing how much they back him. you must achieve buzz to be considered good. sage and sean pablo have buzz. aaron herrington doesn't. if you skated and theres no footy, you didn't skate. sean pablo is a master of self promotion and getting his 'art' to as many people as possible. have you ever read his tumblr? there are kids on there who have visceral reactions to things he says and does positive & negative.

The back to back ollie was cool. It's weird people attribute the vibe to the NYC cool guy thing when its really more of a Cali to NYC transplant perception of cool going on, i admit city people buy into as much as anyone else though...

Sage and Sean are both rad. I feel like there's a few tricks that Sean does in Cherry that Sage gets credit for because they're the same build and wear similar outfits. Two boardslides and a back smith come to mind.
That part was cool - fun too, but doesn't do them justice. I've seen them both tear LES a new ass and I guarantee they were better than 99% of people that are on here complaining about them.

Good to know that every video part, web clip, and piece of footage released onto the internet needs at least one flip trick into a grind or slide to be considered "good". Will keep this in mind for further reference.

I'll believe the hype when there's more than a minute of them skating with a Filmer who doesn't edit everything in black and white. Out of all the kids tyshawn and Ben kadow are the only real deals to me. Aidan's style is real but his trick selection is too trendy. Sean and sage have the most hype but both of them have fake style. If you no comply revert and you have thr "sudden" urge to boneless into a rail trick youre trendy. Kevin Bradley and na-kel smith are regular skaters who are lucky theyre under the umbrella and genesis is never going to get sponsored by anybody. Not only is he annoying but he sucks at skating.

I find nothing redeeming about most of these weird name having, hipster ass supreme children's skating. I guess I'm the only one. I get the impression that they are actually really talented but don't really try. Maybe their skating will improve as they get older, that would be rad.

It must be awesome to be the most talked about rider, on the most talked about fancy new team, that just dropped the most talked about video. Throw in also getting paid to wear free skate versions of arguably the most classic sneaker ever and it's like the definition of fucking awesome. I can't really hate on that.

Yeah, Tyshawn fucking killed that courthouse. Even that one regular kicklfip he does after his montage was dope. And he did that bigflip board so casual. The kid just flicks that out of no where and caught me totally off guard. Surprised nothing has really come of him from Cherry.
