Anything on transition besides a frontside grind. I have a mental block and I can not do tricks on transition, even after 20 years of skating. I hung up on a backside grind a year or two into skating and I have never been able to get past it.

concurring with all of the 5-0 talk, especially backside. matter of fact, back fifties are a lot harder on ledges than crooked grinds also. I've have a massive fear of the slipout forever but the backside ones are even scarier now that I've got a bad wrist - having to catch myself falling forward is a nightmare.

backside roll-ins and backside slashes for hang-up reasons

switch front shuvs for absolutely no reason

and pivot fakies - every single new ramp I try it on, regardless of size it's like getting myself to do it for the very first time again. I KNOW I can do it but just can't get myself to fakie manny for a third of a second back down the ramp.

fakie flips into a banks.

fakie flip is probably the easiest flat ground flip trick, but I'm not sure if I've ever done one into a bank.

front blunts on flatbars are way easier to do once you overcome the mental block. they're honestly way easier than backtailing a ledge or flatbar for those that haven't done one before. If you rocket your board when locking in, you'll lock in a little more secure because you'll secure the wedge between the tail and the baseplate on the flatbar better.

on the opposite end, fucc back 50's on flatbars. I can't figure out that one for the life of me and when i finally felt like i figured it out with the cross-lock this past weekend i pulled my calf

lol it is a lot different doing a fakie flip on flat vs. doing it legit over anything even a sewer

fs board is a trick guys mentally think is more sketch than bs but it actually has less risk

the way you bail your body is aligned forward. it is easy to run out or just dive to the push up position. its probably most dangerous on the steep short rails that everyone wants to try it on. theres no room for error on those. but on other rails you just sort of hook it up there and the bail is awkward but not catastrophic

backside board or frontside lip the way you bail your body is traveling backwards to your blind side. you go straight to your tailbone or land on your back. break your wrist or crack your head.  and on rails you get sacked. either by the rail or by a combo rail credit card

backside board is probably one of skatings top session ruiners. everyone thinks its going to be easy and then they get sloppy and banana peel to tailbone or sack

the aforementioned low round bar 50/50 is probably tied with BS board for top session ruiner
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone IRL banana peel on a back board since the 80s. Maybe a little kid here and there. The big issue is when you stick. BS at least you might run it out. I’d rather scorpion than land on the back of my head but ymmv.

where I live there are extreme waxer crews and their handiwork takes out unsuspecting guys pretty regularly . you gotta test the curb from day to day because it might have been re-salba'd overnight. the coping waxers cause the most havoc and pain though

Krooked grinds on low ledges

Actually any grind on a low ledge ... always hated skating lower shit and going over, especially on shit that people waxed the fuck out of.

Back tail is scarier but I feel like I've probably eaten it worse messing up front tails when absent minded.

Switch front tail is wayyyyyy more dangerous than switch back tail for me though.

I've been really bad at fs 180s on anything other than flat lately, so I guess I'll say those. Fakie shuvs at high speed is another one for sure. For all you guys saying fs and bs shuvs, moving my back foot in closer to the bolts really helps me keep them consistent and predictable.
thank you for the bs/fs shuv tip  :)
I've had a better understanding of what is happening around me while smoking Salvia as a passenger in a moving vehicle than reading your post

I’m going to agree with regular pop shoves.  For some reason they always feel iffy even though that’s one of the first things I learned.  Don’t have the same apprehension with switch ones.

any rail or ledge trick at a small town skatepark, It's always sticky with a 30 year old local doing nothing but board & noseslides telling the young locals they should go faster. All this leads to is a dangerous guessing game of if your going to slide or stick, it's much safer to know you will slide each time but these small town locals just don't learn.

It's a huge reason why skaters in big cities get better, the parks they skate are getting waxed at 6am in the damn morning and skaters actually practice their finesse and balance each trick instead of going faster and forcing the board to slide so hard to slide it looks like your taking the anger of your cheating gf out on the rail.
