So I skate goofy right eye is good and dominant, I can skate just fine but my left eye is fucky, I skate switch and I can see fairly but it is awkward but it feels just right has anyone ever had this shit happen?

I think eye dominance might have something to do with turning preference--like right eye dominant prefers turning clockwise (turning in the direction of the dominant eye). For example, I'm better at backside rotating tricks when skating regular and frontside rotating tricks when skating switch. Goofy skaters can be like this as well--look at Bam or Jeremy Wray. Both seem to rotate clockwise far more often that counterclockwise (frontside when skating regular, backside when switch).

Since most people are right eye dominant, I think that most skaters are probably like this. It would make a good poll: what is your eye dominance and which direction do you feel most comfortable turning?

I prefer clockwise when turning my head too, however when going switch my 180s are cleaner. It's fucking with me like am I supposed to be regular?!

yeah that is an astute observation with which eye is dominant. Never really thought about it till you mentioned it and those that have eye sight issues you can see which way they prefer through ticks selection.

alright, so i took this test. i think i am left eyed. i skate regular. i hit footballs with my left foot though and used to jump with my left leg in track and field. i also started out skating goofy as a kid but then some older dipshit told me i was facing the wrong way, so i readjusted to regs. wondering if i am actually native goofy footed.
