I've been having a problem with MRC1. My VX1 says dv in when it's connected. However, I am unable to record most of the time. Sometimes I get lucky, and it will randomly work fine. I've tried a few different FireWire cables and find that when it does record, I have to hold the FireWire cable steady by the end that is connected to the MRC1. Weirdly enough, it works fine on other cameras without any trouble. I am completely stumped on what could be the issue at this point.
Note: I updated the device, tried different batteries and I have a Transcend CF card. It honestly hasn't behaved very well after the first week I got it back in 2022. I also know to power on/off the device first.
