That story is bullshit. A bullet has to be fired from the chamber of a gun or anything else with a large mass relative to the bullet for the the impulse to be large enough to propel the bullet to lethal velocities. If you just set off a bullet on its own the shell casing is going to carry a large fraction of the momentum, and because the bullet isn't enclosed most of the energy is actually dissipated into the air as the gases which form in the reaction rapidly expand. In a gun chamber, its those gases which actually push on the bullet.I'm not saying getting hit in the nuts wouldn't hurt, but no fucking way it'd cause major damage. I'd be willing to be "shot" by a .22 caliber "fired" outside of a gun to prove my point too. Yet again Gipper shows he doesn't know shit about anything except his stupid fucking history books.
