Holy shit. Nine years ago or so I sold off all my 90s skate shoes and made a shitload of money doing so. I have a super good VHS collection still as well as Transworlds going back to 93 and all of the Big Brothers starting around issue 13 or so.

I've considered selling my videos when times are tough but never pulled the trigger. But I think I could part with my Big Brother Mags ahahah.

I've got plenty of VHS and haven't found any to be deteriorating in quality or playability just yet.

One of the main reasons I continue to collect skate vids is that the quality is so poor on youtube and the music copyright issues.

You can easily find a good combo (VCR/DVD) on eBay for under $100 with a remote and cords, probably closer to $50 for just a normal VCR. And much cheaper if you get lucky in a thrift store or search Facebook marketplace. Just make sure to test them with a tape you don’t care about, not your orange cassette Photosynthesis.

He is a self obsessed loser who, yes is doing a good thing by providing a larger platform for Christine, but still cannot help but be self obsessed when doing so. At least that's my read.
