Probably a little overrated, but I enjoyed the onigiri and mapo tofu. Definitely a cleaner establishment than the American version.

Probably a little overrated, but I enjoyed the onigiri and mapo tofu. Definitely a cleaner establishment than the American version.

There was a 7eleven on the main floor of my hotel in shinjuku and the snacks were lit. They had a yuzu soda that I got every chance I could get. The rice balls were solid.

I had fried rice and fried chicken from family mart which was pretty good.

The food isn’t like culinary excellence, but it’s definitely a tier above anything you get at its American counterpart. Sans slurpee. It’s cheaper and fresher.

there are bunch of cafes that had tons of fresh pastries, cheaper, and better quality than a dunkin or Starbucks.

Again not like excellent food, but a better freshness/quality/price proposition than anything in the US.


They don’t have slurpees though
