I wanted these shoes so much when I was a kid, but my mom said that they were so ugly that she wouldn’t let me wear em in the house. This morning, I showed my girlfriend the shoe and she was like, “I see why your mom wouldn’t let you wear them. I can’t believe you really wanted those”. I just re-watched the commercial for it and I now agree with them. The video has some nazi vibes.

Vans 112 pro. Great shoes, gone too soon.

A part of me thinks they were discontinued due to poor sales from Vans making them in some pretty fuggo colorways the last couple seasons.

Those new air walks are trash. Bad fit, clunky soles, sticking was coming loose just from walking. All that did not make them good to skate it. I wore around for a year, tried skating them and tosed them the same day.

i had those in the changeling colorway. they looked really funny when skated. also all in all a pretty decent shoe until the fucking sole came off in one piece. at the time all brands had massive problems with their vulc soles which made me think they must all be made at the same shitty factory. made me try a cupsoles again with emerica g-codes, which should totally be rereleased under a different name.

Lakai Telford low. I had a pair of the hightops (white leather Welsh) and really loved the cupsole feel. Lowtops somehow seem perfect for me.

Well Airwalk One's were garbage quality when they originally came out in the early 90's, so it sounds like they're the same now. That stitching rips instantly from skating and then the whole side of the shoe opens up.

Emerica Francis mids. Today I was going through some shitty old pictures from about 11+ years ago and the model on an Emerica box in the background said Francis. I looked it up, remembered it and remember loving them. I think I learned a bunch of stuff in those.

I was both enamored and intimidated by that PJ DC shoe at the time. The tech and price ($100?) steered me away but they looked so clean and durable. So many of PRod’s shoes intrigue me now but I couldn’t bring myself to skate Nike back then or afford them, probably. The 10 seemed to be neutrally controversial, if that makes sense. Safe, but still somewhat innovative.

Had this exact pair of Zoom Air FC's, I remember putting them on the first time and being amazed at the board feel and the way the sole flexed in all the right places, it felt so good and I felt fucking stylish for being a little 14 year old wearing fresh ass sneakers while everyone else was wearing fucking clunky ass shit.

I found a pair of black/red accels in like 08 on clearance at a shop that were dated 2004 and had the pointier longer toe than the current production accels. They skated amazing from what I remember. I don't know why es changed the shape but it totally ruined them for me. Accel slims are closer in shape than the "og accels". If they reverted back to that shape I'd buy them exclusively.

I had the grosso(?) colorway. Blacked out upper with waxed shoe laces. One of the best shoes ever.
Also, found my old pair of cons KA 1’s. Very subtle design. I’d buy a pair of those again

I 100% guarantee that if Lakai reissues this shoe they fuck it up. I want this shoe reissued in both hi and low extremely bad. But I imagine they'll change the sole and just use one of the ones that's already being used on another shoe in their line up rather than create another mold, and not have it stitched on to save money.

I 100% guarantee that if Lakai reissues this shoe they fuck it up. I want this shoe reissued in both hi and low extremely bad. But I imagine they'll change the sole and just use one of the ones that's already being used on another shoe in their line up rather than create another mold, and not have it stitched on to save money.

I feel like you are correct and it’ll be fucked. Shame. Time is right.
