I’d say it’s a good thing in that context.
It’s more like it’s just so fucking odd. Like the trick looks great, his hands/arms look exactly like MJ, and he’s got that dress shirt with the same fit, and the way he does the trick looks exactly like how MJ does that, and I know I’ve seen at least 3 clips of MJ at a similar spot with a similar trick. Like who the fuck would have thought weird stance bow legged Crockett would EVER look like MJ.
Gil has been one of my favorite skaters of all time. He came to my hometown once with the alien squad. I remember being blown away it was him. He was in a line at this store, and his back was turned so I couldn’t see him, but it was a dude with a shaved head, sleeve tats, wearing a workshop record shirt, and wearing Crockett’s stage 4s, and had cuffed pants. I was like Gilbert, dude looked at me and was like what’s up. Then Dylan fucking walks around the aisle of the store with two smartwater bottles, and I’ve never fanned out ever other then this, but was like DYLAN!! The entire alien team was outside the store, and I remember going to have convo with GT and fitz. This was literally a week or two after AVE, Dill, and terp left.
