I think this is blowing up way out of proportion. It's getting way too much attention and it doesn't even bare any close resemblance to the current US political climate, which I think is influencing the reaction. when did skateboarding get so soft?  whatever ted barrow's schtick is, it's irritating and open to conflict.  i had never heard of him before his instagram status started to take off.  never followed him.  checked it out to see what all the fuss was about. it's tattle-tale culture, which is really big right now.  everyone is guilty, but no one is responsible.

Now its just kinda annoying. When I first started drinking it was a culture shock that white people waited until they're drunk to say nigga but then turn around and try to be the beacon of morality. Its like whats appropriate or not has to be on their terms (which is kinda what kills me about Ted's spiel).

Overall I agree with Ted's point that skatboarders are not ideal role models thus should not be worshipped beyond their skills on a board. I just feel like with all the unaddressed gnarly shit that has gone down in skateboarding (I'll point you to all the Jason Jesse shit), its weak that he kinda wants you to pat him on the back because he triggered stevie into saying some homophobic shit.

Ted’s IG is obviously not for everyone, especially people who take it 100 percent seriously.

Stevie rips and obviously is going through some things while he recovers from injury but he needs to be smarter than this if he’s going to get bent out of shape any time someone (correctly) points out something like Chocolate losing its luster as of late and not being anywhere near relevant as they used to be.

This back and forth was pretty cringe worthy to look at and maybe Ted shouldn’t have posted it online but a lot of what Stevie said was pretty terrible and deserves to be called out.
