You sunuvagun I was just thinking about how this needed to be a thread and bam here it is. Only thing still to come out is Boys of Summer 2.

I'm thinking my pick is Toxic Planet but this has been a fucked up year for full lengths.

GX was really sick and had dangerous hill bombs but 'We Blew it at Some Point' was a much better video as a whole in my opinion so that's easily my vote. Purple, It's Time, and Sir Palmer were my other favorites this year.

Roll Up made me feel ways no other video did. Got into my head, like I had no conscious choice on how to feel, just being guided through intrinsic gut reactions. I get tense thinking about it. I'd like to believe a lot of it is thanks to the editing and not just the hill bombs.

GX on mind control. Gets my vote. Imma go watch it again.

The '80s were the worst period. You had these horrible pop bands growing their hair and calling themselves metal.

It feels disingenuous or hyperbolic to say because it’s only been out a month, but GX1000 - Roll Up is one of the best skate videos ever made. That video will never, ever cease being gnarly.

The skating and editing are top, obviously, but the no hype release and what essentially amounts to a group of anonymous and mostly unsponsored skaters is what takes the cake. It’s just absolutely pure and raw street skating—in every sense—done purely out of love, and not for a company/job/money.

It’s a once in a generation type thing.

This is not hyperbolic at all, this video is fucking all time and will be looked back the same way as we look back at legendary videos like Modus and shit like that.

Fucking loved the fact that companies started focusing on making full lengths again.

Here's my Top 5
1. GX1000 Roll Up - No questions asked
2. Polar - We Blew It at Some Point- This had a classic feel to it too, definitely made me want to go out and skate which is something that a lot of videos now don't have.
3. Cons Purple- It was really well made and had a really good soundtrack. Still watch Louie Lopez's part regularly.
4. Girl Doll/Quasi Mother- These are the underdogs of the year for me, both really good adapting to the shorter "full length" format perfect to watch in a whole sitting before going skating
5. Supreme Blessed-  A bit too long for me to watch in one sitting before going to skate, but you can not fuck with Bill Strobelight

Nosferatu - you are going to need to add "Neverwhere" up there for me. The new video by the Polish crew that made "Grey Area".

My taste in videos is always the full package; filming, music, spots, editing, skating, everything. Neverwhere checked all the boxes for me. Unfortunately, this one is only online in parts, but is fully worth the purchase from Theories.

Kinda surprised the Element video isn't getting more love on here, super heavy parts by multiple people

Its between Polar and GX for me.

Yup.  And Quasi in third for me.

But I agree with O.P., it’s an embarrassment of riches for amazing video releases in 2018.  Don’t know what it has to do with Bachman-Turner Overdrive though.

Voted for Doll because it gave me confidence in Girl's future.  Roll up is better, but its stressful to watch. I just know one of these dudes are going to die trying to one up this vid.

Not to my knowledge. They put Grey Area online after a year or two. I'd suppose Neverwhere will eventually be online.

Worth the DVD purchase though. You can get a DVD player at a thrift store for less than $10 if you don't have one of those.
