Knees hurt in the beginning of my sessions lately.
Hernia. That one worries me and has kept me from jumping down gaps and sets as much the past few months, because when I do id get a gnarly stomach ache and the hernia would be bigger. Just am being lame and lazy, not wanting to get the surgery for it and be out for 6 weeks. It sucks.

Exactly.
I have nerve damage and prolapsed shit in my lower back, constant pain and risk or debilitating pain if tweaked the wrong way. The last time I fucked it and couldn’t skate OR walk for a week and a half.
Still recouping after tearing my left MCL in 2015 . Gives me shit every now and then and my leg is still much weaker than it was. I’m regular and can only really push switch mongo too so that leg gets my weight on it more or less constantly when I skate.
Have been considering wearing a knee brace while skating the type Reyes or Joslin rock. Either that or knee pads because I’m 29 and I’m only really getting used to skating transition. Plus that knee has that Osgood Schlater. The poor bugger never had a fighting chance

I have a bad sprain in my right wrist, the list goes on into more minor ones but that’s my awful anatomy for now.
I have both wrists ruined too, I suspect a broken scaphoid in the right one, I have to skate like zigram o'neil and never fall down

my shoulder pops out of socket with ease so i have to skate with my hands down and usually stick to tranny, hopping up onto boxes is sketchy sometimes if i forget to keep dem hands downnnnn. hucked a flatground 3flip this weekend and felt it click in and out cause i wasnt paying attention.

Did you do your PT and all the right stuff the first time you dislocated it?

Age. I’m 46. Have a broken ankle with a huge steel plate and eight pins in it. I have a hernia that was botched by some quack, I blew out my right knee paddle boarding, don’t tell anybody that I was paddle boarding. I’m fat and weight 240 pounds even though I’m 6’5” I’m still fat.

But when I skate it’s all forgotten and I go for four or five hours like a teenager. If it wasn’t for skating I wouldn’t have any joy in my life.  My buddy Steve just turned 60 and is still dropping in the bowls and grinding with 2 blown knees So I just consider him an inspiration and myself a bitch. It really is skate or die.

I have a broken left collarbone. It’s currently screwed together and mending slowly. Doctor said I can’t skate but I’ve been having a go anyway. I’m goofy so my right shoulder and arm usually cop it the most. Went on a trip this week and came home with every limb wounded except my left arm/should which means I’ve stayed true to the surgeons advice of not falling on my left shoulder.

I feel this...im 37 with a perma-sprained, or worse, left wrist.
I can fall on it once but the second time I’m done

no, i didnt go to the doctor because i didnt have insurance at the time, i just tried to work it out myself for a while. once i got insurance i forced the doctors to give me an mri (they dont like doing them for some reason) and nothing was torn but everything was stretched.

i should work out more but i dont cause im lazy, i know if i did and got some actual muscle it would probably be way better. hulk hogan didnt even have a knee cap but he had so much muscle that it held everything together.

its a party trick at this point, like mel gibson in lethal weapon. ive had it pop out when i was sleeping, now thats the worst. trying to get it back in while youre laying down, ugh.

I'm 41. I've been skating since I was 11. I have a little ball of pain that rolls around in my body from one place to the next. Its favorite places are my neck, left shoulder, and my push foot.

I have arthritis in my knee after tearing my meniscus last year.  Even after moths of physical therapy and the most corrective surgery I still have pain while skating or jogging.  I bought a brace and I am powering through.  I'm starting to suspect that it may not have healed all the way, and my inner thigh muscle is still a bit deformed.

I don't know what the hell I actually did to my knee circa a year ago, but it flares up if I pull my leg a certain way. Physio said there was no ligament damage and it was a case of building the muscle back up.

I think it was just a bad hamstring pull, but it hurts like fuck if I do a trick wrong and it pulls slightly. I almost put myself out in Barca just by tweeking my leg doing a front nose on a ledge.
i don’t think any of you are real, i think slap was invented by my mom to make me think people want to talk to me

I’m not skating. 1 bulging disc. 2 herniated discs. A 4 inch mass of inflammation on my spine. Numb knees, numb right thigh and groin.   And an old shoulder separation that didn’t bother me until the last year or so.

I always skated through ankle injuries or other little things. But not this shit.

Herniated disc L5S1 had surgery in summer 2017 (microdiscectomy) (i couldn‘t walk for more than 25 meters) it took a lot of physio but after 8 months i was back on board (very carefully) and nowadays my skating is almost back to normal. Sure i lost some tricks along the way, but i can skate and slam without any backpain. I thought i‘d never skate again all i wanted was to walk without pain.

That's my left "elbow". I'm regs so I have to wear a pad. Part of me hopes I do fall on it and break it again so that they'll have to fix it.

Lol damn bro. Harsh. I ask selfishly cuz I’m healing my first time and wanted to know if what you’re describing is my future. Maybe not cuz luckily I have insurance and am doing PT vigilantly. Classic USA that you’re fucked cuz you didn’t have health insurance smh

Plantar Fasciitis. Shit sucks man it never goes away. The thing that is the worst part is it will feel fine, ill warm up go to a spot and hit it one wrong way and its back to 100% pain and i cant skate the rest of the day.

I would get diverticulitis flare ups 2-3 times a year. Started when I was 25. My GI doctor said a colon resection surgery would fix it. So after 10yrs and numerous hospital stays, I had the surgery. That was 3 yrs ago. After the surgery I started getting nauseous all the time, throwing up, and having horrible stomach pain. It took numerous tests, more hospital visits, and trips downtown to Rush to see a specialist, to finally be diagnosed with gastroparesis. I finally found a medication that helps somewhat, but it’s not going away. I’ll go days without eating because of it. Only good thing is I quit drinking/partying because of it. Getting old sucks.

Im 90% sure its an inguinal hernia, but have yet to go and get it checked out. Someone posted in this thread about a botched hernia surgery, so that definitely adds to my reluctance haha, but I want to start skating stairs and gaps again so I need to do something.
What kind of hernia?

Got a lisfranc fracture on my foot Thanksgiving of 2017 skating a pool. Skated on it a few months later but definitely couldn't skate 100%. Just got surgery on it about 3 weeks ago and I still have 5 more weeks until I can walk with a boot and 9 more weeks until I can walk fully on it. Can't wait to skate but fuck pool coping.

Blown out meniscus, torn acl in right knee, back is all sorts of fucked. If I twist, sit, turn the wrong way I won’t be doing much for a few days.
