I want that bag someone on here posted at some point. It could hold a board  it could be a duffle bag a messenger bag or back pack it was like Optimus prime as a bag. I forgot what it was called.

I recently bought that small sling bag that orchard has. Never thought I’d buy a small bag like that but the orchard one looked to dope to pass up.

I rock a 25L Patagonia Arbor Classic backpack, it has 2 compartments and basic shoulder straps. I like simple backpacks that are rectangular and boxy in their shape.
Most importantly it has no zipper for the main compartment, just a lid with two straps, it makes it easy throw stuff in and easy to see and pick up whatever's inside.

I use this as my daily backpack for work and whenever i am outside. It works perfect for me. I never use it to hold my board. I just got it for all the functional pockets;

im the dude who has EVERYTHING in my backpack at all times; extra charging cables , powerbanks, skatetool, umbrella etc so this works perfect.. i never have to swtich out bags or gear.. have one pack ready to go for work or skate missions.

I have this same pack & got it for the same reasons (lots of pockets / organizational options).

About 3 years on, it's a damn good pack.

( I use the skate strap to lock in my lunch pail... probably not the intended use )

I have this pack in all black as well, I really dig it. I use it for work, school, and skating. Its help up really well for the 2nd year in a row for me and I use it every day skating and traveling on foot/transit in the rain.

I got an REI giftcard this past christmas so I decided to upgrade my daily backpack and went with the Patagonia Black Hole daypack. I really don't think I could see myself dropping $130 on a backpack, so the gift card definitely motivated this purchase, but it has been a great upgrade so far. Waterproof, plenty of room for all sorts of stuff, comfortable to wear.

The GNARLYTOWN backpack could be your new favorite backpack.

With a name like GNARLYTOWN, you can trust that it will be, well, gnarly.

I've always used slim backpacks. I often ride with a backpack, so it is very important for me that the backpack is light and does not upset the balance during the ride. This is very convenient when the backpack fits snugly to the back. I usually used small backpacks, since all the little things that I store there do not take up much space. If you are looking for a model for 20 liters, then I advise you to look at it at backpacks.global, since they have a fairly large selection of backpacks for different directions. I prefer the urban style as it is most suitable for my needs.

I just recently bought the Nixon Hauler 35L backpack. It has a ton of space and the way it opens makes it really easy to get to your stuff. I just went on a work trip for a week and had room for clothes, toiletries, laptop, tablet, and accessories. The best part is that it’s still small enough to carry on an airplane.

My only complaint is that the board straps are kind of small, so my board tends to slide down and hit my legs when walking. I also ride a 9” board, so my board is pretty heavy. I’m sure it would be better if I just took the trucks off.

Besides the straps, I really like the bag a lot.

I carry a couple of topo designs bags. A quick pack mini for day to day and a regular quick pack as a gear bag. Holds my iPad, switch and other stuff.

Looking to replace my Dakine one which has seen better days. Looking for something between 20-30L, no loud branding and lightweight. Is the default answer still the Nike RPM?

Patagonia Black Hole. Made much better than most of the skate/cycling oriented brands and free lifetime repairs. I also liked my Baileyworks messenger. Mountain Hardwear makes an affordable alternative to Patagonia anything else that rivals it will be much more. I mostly use a backpack for rock climbing and my last one survived 10 years of abuse and didn’t need any repairs. I decided to wash it and didn’t know there was a fish oil capsule in it and that smell never came out.

I've been using the Nixon Gamma: https://www.nixon.com/us/en/gamma-backpack/C3024-000-00.html#start=1

Marketing:
600D polyester exterior made from REPREVE® Our Ocean™ recycled ocean plastics. 1680D REPREVE Bottom Panel. 200D Polyester interior made from recycled PET

I mainly use it back and forth to the gym on bike to carry workout gear; as for carrying my board, the straps don't really secure it, you just put it in and have the front truck hang on the top strap and wrap the bottom one around...I was hoping for a snugger fit (which the Dakine/Nike RPM bags look to give) but there isn't enough velcro on the strap to do it.

Works well enough.

I use this bag for most of my travel.  I like it a lot.
They change colors periodically so you can catch their stuff on sale relatively easily.  Really good bag with deployable board straps.

Dakine is the shit. I use the Drifter hydration pack for MTB.

For travel, I made the switch from oddly shaped "messenger" backpacks and regular luggage to an Osprey Farpoint 40 carry-on bag and I will say that I never plan to go back to a different style. I've used it now on three different continents for multiple week trips and it has never failed to carry everything I need. It's lightweight, comfortable, and fits easily into the overhead bin on any flight I've never paid for a checked bag on any international flight since I've had this. Finally, the ability for your backpack to operate like a suitcase is something you don't know you need until you have it. I have no interest in digging around in the bottom of a dark bag to find my clothes - fuck that - unzip this and grab what I need.

It's worth noting that this has nothing at all to do with skating. I don't bring my skateboard on international trips, and when I travel with my skateboard, I stick it in a nylon skateboard bag I got from eBay. This bag is definitely for traveling light, but not minimalist - just bringing clothes and toiletries. I would recommend larger bags for anyone carrying camera gear and a laptop, a bluetooth speaker, etc.

Just wanna make a strong recommendation for the DAKINE space split travel backpack space 38L.

What made me buy it was there’s a separate compartment for shoes and most backpacks that are this size don’t have that feature. It can be used as a duffel bag also.

i use frontside bumbags.

its just a regular bumbag, but has straps to hold your board too. cheaper than a backpack and its small enough i can keep it in my backpack as a sub-bag for just skate stuff.

Decent Hardware makes great skate bags, they have both a carry handle and backpack straps. Because of the latter I use it also as a general purpose "suitcase" even when I'm not taking my board. I have the 38 inch one, it has the downside that some airlines say it's too long and charge extra, would have maybe bought a smaller one if I knew that beforehand.

As a normal skate backpack I just have some Vans one. It's fine except the straps are a bit short, a 9" deck just barely fits if you don't have rails on it.

Just another reminder to never buy anything from FTC. Worst quality backpack i have ever had by far and extremely expensive. They should just close their doors for good. Fuck ftc.

This looks interesting. Can you pack in pads and helmet too? Videos an pics left it bit unclear how big compartments there are besides the one where complete goes.
