I never wore any slip one period. Not for skateboarding or anything else. The fact that some cocksucker would think this is a lame question only shows how lame some of you are.

when i first saw you were posting here i hoped that you would be aight because of the fact that you have madvillainy as your avatar and it's my favorite hiphop album, but turns out you are a fucking imbecile. slip-ons are like any other shoe except they don't have shoelaces. go to a vans store, try on a pair of era pros, and then try on a pair of slip-on pros, i'm pretty sure you won't feel a difference as long as you get the correct size.

Fuck off, if it were so easy, what’s the point of wearing skate shoes with Laces, yet still most skaters wear shoes with laces. I rarely see someone wear slip ons but noticed how they still are around.

Skating street in slip ons is fine except for doing filp tricks, the tops of my feet always get smacked cause there's 0 protection there

Slip ons only work in non-street skating - especially slalom or freestyle.  Good thing you checked in here before trying a pair.

Exactly. Slip ons were invented so laces wouldn’t fuck up your caspers, get stuck on your trucks while pogo-ing, or cause drag on your slalom runs.

I forget the thread and who said it but I remember one time someone writing on here "What's the most trucks you've seen at a truck stop?" and seriously I ask people that all the time now and I find it hysterical and no one else does. Whoever wrote that you really helped me through some dark times with that age old question. So to all of you, I ask, what's the most trucks you've seen at a truck stop?

Might not be a real answer to your question, but there is a factory near my commute, and once I noticed a foreign truck parked in their stop. With Uruguay plates and Uruguayan decals. I thought it was neat, and a one-time deal, since the truck disappeared. I figured it went back to the Orient, but then it showed up again, and then left again, and then it was parked at the stop again, and so on. Through the powers of analytic reasoning, I have therefore concluded that these dudes are making a 2000 km trip on the reg. Which is pretty wild to me. I have never seen more than 8 trucks at a stop at a time.

Slip ons feel floppy and loose. If you like tight shoes, and you like to shimmy around the board like if you've stepped in dog shit, it might not be best for you. I'm just wondering where (and how) do you live for slip-ons not to be a common sight. Old people love to wear them, since you don't have to bend over to tie your laces, and you don't have to tie your laces, and they're typically cheap enough to be disposeable once the sole loses tread, which is a risk when you're a fall away from shattering your hip, or when the shoe's inside is all dirty and gunky and such.

Speaking of which, I guess they didn't pay their server maintenance because that site is totally gone. That's to bad too because they had some great info on there.

Until Timberland releases a slip on version of the classic 6 inch there really is no "street" appropriate slip on

A slip on, at least Vans, is going to feel pretty much like any of their other shoes when it comes to the sole and in sole. It feels like a Old Skool but you don't have to worry about laces. They can be a bit tight at the top where the elastic is for some people.

Personally I like a mid top like the Blazer Mid. Slips skate great in my opinion, but leave basically your whole ass foot susceptible to damage from your board.
