I forget the thread and who said it but I remember one time someone writing on here "What's the most trucks you've seen at a truck stop?" and seriously I ask people that all the time now and I find it hysterical and no one else does. Whoever wrote that you really helped me through some dark times with that age old question. So to all of you, I ask, what's the most trucks you've seen at a truck stop?
Might not be a real answer to your question, but there is a factory near my commute, and once I noticed a foreign truck parked in their stop. With Uruguay plates and Uruguayan decals. I thought it was neat, and a one-time deal, since the truck disappeared. I figured it went back to the Orient, but then it showed up again, and then left again, and then it was parked at the stop again, and so on. Through the powers of analytic reasoning, I have therefore concluded that these dudes are making a 2000 km trip on the reg. Which is pretty wild to me. I have never seen more than 8 trucks at a stop at a time.
Slip ons feel floppy and loose. If you like tight shoes, and you like to shimmy around the board like if you've stepped in dog shit, it might not be best for you. I'm just wondering where (and how) do you live for slip-ons not to be a common sight. Old people love to wear them, since you don't have to bend over to tie your laces, and you don't have to tie your laces, and they're typically cheap enough to be disposeable once the sole loses tread, which is a risk when you're a fall away from shattering your hip, or when the shoe's inside is all dirty and gunky and such.
