Thank You has a twin as well, but it's Thank You.

Quasi does twins regularly, PS Stix just started doing them through Pizza, but it's Pizza.

Same with Santa Cruz Tom Asta and Murio McCoy, but the Asta 1 seems like it it won't be in rotation anymore. On his last few videos it sounded like he wasn't too hyped on the dimensions and went back to an 8.25 standard popsicle. Shit graphics aside their dims were a good middle ground. I just wish their tips were less tapered.

Habitat / AWS and DLX have consistently done twins every season, but the dims are either too burly or tiny. I do like the Habitat twins as a Venture guy, the WB on the trucks compensates for the length. And the full nose is so good for nollies and flips.

I think Asta said in one of his videos that the shape they used for his twin was too long (32”) and the wheelbase (14.25) was longer than he wants and is working on a new shape with SC but just riding the Fabiana Delfino 8.25x31.5x14 shape for the time being. If he gets those dimensions on a twin tale with the taper tip from his 8” shape I’m definitely getting one.

Just got some Habitat / AWS twins - pro decks are made in USA with the black & white BBS sticker, team (Apex Bold and other graphics) are from China. The ones from China have more concave across the middle, same kick steepness and their US counterparts.

And the 8.5 shape finally comes with a 14.38 WB instead of the 14.25 on the last Apex Bold graphics.

Had a peep at the upcoming catalog and Metal will have a Twin in 8 5 x 31.8 x 14.125. A welcome addition to the usually long and unwieldy twin range.
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m

That's a nice 8.5 and assume it will be big kicks (could you tell in the catalog?).

What's the consensus on the Girl G069? I really like the shape but the 14" wheelbase gives me pause. Haven't skated a wheelbase that short in a while. Do the longer kicks on it kind of compensate for the short wheelbase?

Great shape (and wood) but the longer kicks (paired with venture forged) did not compensate enough for me and had to bounce back to a longer WB.

I did try 14"WB again on a non-twin (BenDs 8.25 dlx shape) and a different twin (8.5 Roger twin), and found I need lots of fingers of flat at/before the kicks (for twins, just the taill for regs). Both bloards had more fingers of flat than the crail boards as they felt significanly more stable (with forged ventures) leading me to not be thrown off by the short WB due to having a bit more length before the kicks turned up so my rear foot felt a but farther back. YMMV.

I like it with Thunder 151s but would prefer a longer WB say 14.25 and Ace

Looked like their standard kick shape - round but not overly round, far from tapered.

I hope they end up doing a 8.75 twin, that would be very fun.

put together a girl 8.5 twin, and really digging it. Smallest board I've skated in years though, so i'm getting some lost tricks back. Wasn't into the original graphic though so i modified that part. Also went with the 8.5 slappy, and not the wheel in the pic but some v1 x99 (52mm). I absolutely love not caring about the direction my board is facing. It's funn though because I really enjoy shaped boards usually, but this thing really kinda eases my mind. Only pic I took was a blurry one

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the 8.75 ishod twin for my next set up… WB is a little longer than I’ve been riding but I still think it’ll be fun. Will probably set it up with thunders but if it feels like a pig I can switch on some Aces and see how it rolls
If you see offensive comments, just let it go into one eye and let it out of the other eye, no tears and not sadness or anger.

Great shape and great wood.  The wheelbase is perfect for whipping 360 flips around.

Without realizing it, I got an 8 3/8 BBS Quasi Twin. First 30 minutes after gripping it, I was turning it around and around trying to determine what was the nose. There was no note of it but I found it on the Quasi site advertised as a twin. Still getting used to it. It’s a lot steeper than what I’m used to.

I am yet to see any in person or hear anyone skate it, so it would be good if you do to then tell us if it really does feel too big, or if it works for what it is.

Visions of drilled in Venture / Indy trucks make it way more in the tech realm than as is but it might just work well and not need to change anything.

After all, the bigger boards often do have the longer wheelbases and people skate those just fine, but I also wonder if those sort of people are not so much in the twin tech category, compared to the go fast gnar type of skating I often see on the bigger boards.

Any which way, it would be an interesting thing to hear back on.

If I find one I'll report back. I've been riding some shorter wb 8.75s (14.25") which have been a lot of fun and I want to see if the extra 1/2" really throws me off much. For my size and what I'm doing, I doubt it will.

There are only 9 twin tail decks on Tactics in 8.5-8.75. And over 400 popsicles in the same size range. That’s insane 😳

Makes me not want to skate the 3 TTs I have. Cause they can’t be easily replaced. Hell, Welcome discounted this shape. Has a 14.25 wb.

There are still a few Ishod 8.75" twins out there. Get one soon though as the next few drops only seem to have 8.5" widest. i should probably try one also...  really digging my current 8.5 Ishod twin and don't think the extra width and WB of the 8.75" would mess me up too much.

the catalog says there is an Ishod twin tail easy rider, with the same graphic in:

8.06 with a 14.38" WB
and 8.25 with a 14.33" WB

but you know DLX. could be a classic typo...

With those 8.25 dims, I wonder if it's the classic 8.25 shape but 'easy' instead of the SE.

I'm not really a fan of heroin skateboards or sharks, but I like that shark graphic for some reason.

Maybe it's all the time I've spent on the jaws pinball machine at the movie theater lately.

I got my first real twin (Opera twin slick 8.25x14), and as soon as it arrived in Turkey, I grabbed it. Although the reviews for this deck here and on YouTube are not very promising, I tried popping it at home and honestly, despite the steepness, it felt quite light due to the crispness of the board or the wheelbase.

Before this, I had bought two Mini Logos and gave them to my carpenter friend to convert them into twins. Despite the concave, this board feels lighter compared to them. The Mini Logo is the one on top in the photo.

I will master the kickflip with this board. Wish me luck.

Yup, I got one sight unseen because of the 14" wheelbase and it being a twin. Had I known the shovel shape of the tails I wouldn't have even bought it. Tried every truck on that thing to try to make it work. I'll stick to a G069 if I want a twin.

8.2” width
6.7” nose/tail
14” wheelbase
31.6” length

Edit: Added some screen grabs of the shape. I’m skating a Girl G069 now and will probably pick one of these up when they come out.

WB may be short for me. My issue with twins is that they tend to feel stubby. I like the idea of a twin tapered on both ends. Sounds eggy but not really

Tactics must’ve found an old Welcome Evil Twin and tossed it on their site. Wheelbase is wrong, it’s really 14.25 if it’s the 8.5 one:

Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. Thanks for all the great info in this thread!

Apologies in advance for the lazy question but I can't get to a big screen and sit down with all the info in the near future so...

Which other twins are the closest to the 8.375" Quasi Henry "Mirror" / "Dog Work" (PS Stix I believe)?

The Quasi twin is BBS, and it pretty much stands alone as the only other 8.3 twins are the DLX and Habitat both of which are longer in WB and length, with the DLX just a hair narrower with similiar shape kicks and the habitat being super long and square kicks.
