SkateDeluxe released 2 interesting twin tail for a good price in 8.5 and 8.25. Dims on the latter one call me:

I'm on the 8.5 now, it's decent, classic popsicle tips, almost identical to the Nicole Hause Twin Nose graphic wise. I believe these are HLC.

Primitive twins are back - apparenlty BBS this time (wonder if the 8.5's WB dims are true this time around)

I can't say for those boards, as I haven't seen them, but the best way to calculate twin kick length is this:

Total length, minus 4.25 (trucks), minus wheelbase, equals a number and divide that by 2 and that should be your kick lengths.

Eg:

32 - 4.25 - 14.3 = 13.45 / 2 = 6.725 kicks

31.85 - 4.25 - 14 = 13.6 / 2 = 6.8 kicks

I can't say for those boards, as I haven't seen them, but the best way to calculate twin kick length is this:

Total length, minus 4.25 (trucks), minus wheelbase, equals a number and divide that by 2 and that should be your kick lengths.

Eg:

32 - 4.25 - 14.3 = 13.45 / 2 = 6.725 kicks

31.85 - 4.25 - 14 = 13.6 / 2 = 6.8 kicks

FWIW the dims listed for the 8.5 are the same as the old (US made not BBS made - Quincy?) twin, which had a WB of ~14.125.

For those who have rode Ishod TT; what trucks were running with them? On my third one now and been running V8s but lately they have been feeling too wimpy. I switched them to regular Venture wheelbaseand im suprised how much i like them. Wheelbase shouldn’t make sense for me but i found them actually better that way. The Ishod 8.5 with cast hollow Ventures has been my go-to setup for 2.5 years or so now. I like to try lots of stuff just for fun, but I always return to that setup because I'm all power and zero finesse and like the stability so much. Some stuff is definitely harder on it, but I also find it's more dependable. Like, I need to put more effort into flipping my board, but I'm more confident that it'll actually end up where I expect it to be, whereas on setups with shorter wheelbases I can do stuff more easily but it's also much more hit or miss.

It'll happen natrually, one day you'll just be skating and not even realizing you haven't once thought about switching  the board around (unless your trucks are set differently, in which case you should adjust them to be set equally).

Wow, that's got to be great for Quincy. Just looked em up- they are up in Houghton! Not a lot going on in the Keweenaw, so I'm sure it's good for the folks working there.

I'm in Sweden for a few weeks and a surf shop out here had one of the Primitive 8.25 twin nose decks left in stock. I couldn't find it anywhere in Europe or UK.

The G069 is one of my top 2 twins along with the Welcome, which unfortunately hasn't been continued. I just ordered a Girl Malto twin (also the G069 8.25) they're out there still. I just searched on shoplurker. Wondering if the width is a true 8.38 and what the actual wb is - some sites state they're 14.4 others 14.5 and I've yet to see nose/tail dims and any word on steepness of kicks. Assuming they're different than the Neen and Foy DW shapes and wondering how Baker's mellow concave on the twins compare to the DW ones.

I remember reading the Jacopo specs on here a while back but forgot and didn't brush up before posting, oops. Good lookin out.

I should have specified more, too: still curious if Tyson's "Calamities" twin is the same shape/dims/kicks. Also if the new team model "Chrome Zone" 8.38 twin is the same as the pro models.

@Llewellyn Moss I had the Jacopo twin, didn't care for it all that much (YMMV).

Kicks were 'baker 8.25 tail" short, very tapered/pointy - it felt/looked long and thin...add in that 14.5 inch WB (I can see why he skates ACE on it), just not my vibe. It's a very unique combination compared to all twins I've tried.

The tyson and chrome zone boards are the exact same shape.

There seems to be the typical BBS/Baker vs shop measurement issues...baker says 32" but it's closer to 31.8+ and shops list it as 31.75...one side rounds up, one  down.

If he is or isn't those ACEs are def pulling that WB in, comparatively speaking. If it's truly his custom shape he picked whatever WB he wanted to suit what he rides (I also use trucks that pull in WB on anything over 14.25).
