New Jessup Ultragrip: Game changer?

Sorry, slow news day. Apparently PJ Ladd and Jeff Grosso helped engineer this extra grippy grip:

Interesting.. I've always been a Mob guy though it's tough for me to switch. I've been riding Classic Griptape which is really good. It's a Canadian brand I think it's tied with Dime / Alltimers

From what I can gather, Mob created M-80 to be more like Jessup and now Jessup created Ultragrip to be more like Mob

Definitely gonna try this out. I love me some OG mob but the adhesive they use is trash. Jessup cuts better too

Jessup always went smooth like bare around the edges for me. I wanna try this but doubt I ever will.

Very interested in this. I don't like MOB personally and normal Jessup could be a bit more gritty so maybe this will be great. Most of all I'd like a griptape that doesn't wear out very fast. I usually change the grip on my boards halfway through as the grip has gone too slick.

Just adhere some alleyway glass shards to your board with dumpster juice and stop wasting money.

Never thought Jessup would care enough to try and compete.

I will probably give this a shot. My backup board needs new grip anyways. Grip it and rip it.

Are they going to make the sheets thinner?  I hate when the griptape is too thick and raises my center of gravity

I might give it a try, but then again I dig OG Jessup the way it is; grippy but not overly grippy. Can't stand too grippy grip, kickflips where your foot feels like it's stuck in quicksand when you're trying to flick, no thanks. Every time I buy mob I usually have to sand it down, with Jessup it's good how it comes. I just wish Jessup didn't chip and peel away at the edges so easily, my only complaint.

Jessup is trash. I’m riding a sheet now. No where near as grippy as MOB. Feels like my feet are slipping off the board every time I pop. Not only that the grit is coming off in areas leaving a slippery black film.

hopefully they make it with a giant shake junt script.

I actually prefer Jessup because it’s not grippy - sonthis doesn’t seem right.

Btw black grizzly is the way to go

I understand the hate against Grizzly because of their stupid marketing stuff, but the fact is that their standard black grip is in between MOB and Jessup in terms of grip and is quite of high quality, it holds well in time and under any temperature, so it's definitively the best I have skated so far. On Tactics it's only ~1$ when you buy a deck.

Never even considered it because it looks goofy. Is the bear outline permanently cut out and, if not, is it visible if not removed?

They make black grip without the bear. Solid black. Got one sheet of it some years ago. Can't say how it is as a grip though as I only skated that deck a few times. 🤔

I personally skate Jessup because it is less grippier than Mob.
Making it grippier makes no sens at all.
