Every time Eldridge speaks, a brain cell dies.

I remember seeing his clips in Yeah Right for the first time and was like holy shit this guy is gonna change the game. His ESpecial part was sick, the Belmont nollie heel nosegrind is still a top tier banger. Then he disappeared for 10 years and appeared on the 9 club.

Ty screwed him in the editing room for Pretty Sweet. He had enough for a good solo-part but was put in a montage where Kenny Anderson just outshone everyone. That's before getting into the actual terrible editing too.

Dude was sick, always thought he was a bit of a weird fit on Chocolate at the time, would have fit Girl better. Almost no one on Chocolate until him hit sizable rails, let alone got pretty tech on them.

Never forget that this full part was excluded from Pretty Sweet and condensed into a few tricks in a montage instead smfh

That was plenty good.  He looks like he's 23 in that.  So logic would tell me that it was filmed 42 years ago.
I'm posting from my blackberry wtf?!?!?

I agree 100%. He was so fucking good in his prime. Seems like anyone who’s been called “The Next Koston” seems to have a curse of getting cut short. him getting hurt and CK’s accident made me realize this.

CK was a prodigy, but I never got the next Koston vibe from him. It seems Malto got pushed as that. He also had a pretty bad injury though.

When Eldridge came to scene, Koston was the undisputed king of skateboarding, basically setting the standards as how pro’s skate with his video parts.
When we started seeing Eldridge clips, there was expectation that he could be the next ”that guy” but obviously that didn’t happen.

When CK or Malto came, Koston’s era was over and nobody had that same ”aura” anymore.
Skateboarding has evolved so much, I doubt there will ever be another ”next Koston”

People are making accounts on an anonymous Internet skateboard forum to talk trash on Justin Eldridge and he’s definitely just at home playing on his iPad looking up recipes he wants to try, new golf gear and maybe going on Craigslist for a used kayak.
