Krooked - Sandoval 8.5
Independent 149 with medium Doh-Dohs
Spitfire f4 52mm radial
Bones 6 Balls
MOB
Killing Machine Hardware

beautiful. A+ on the sticker placements
I started getting a lot better when I went back to college and started taking a lot of math classes when I was 31.

I figured out how to figure things out better, if that makes sense.

Really jealous. Slept on that Polar board for a while till SW sold out. Looks like a lot of fun. I notice you have a lot of different set ups (so you've tried out a lot of prod.). I'm looking at getting some new wheels, leaning towards conicals (doesn't even have to be spitfire, I noticed had some a few bucks cheaper). Also, were you the one with the Johan WKND setup? How was that shape/wood? They use PS Stix ya?

SoCal Skateshop still has one in stock.  That's where i got this one.

I have a lot of different setups because the older I get, the worse my skating gets and instead of skating 5 days a week to get more consistent, I buy gear thinking it will be some magic wand that cures the lackluster ability I have in my late 30s  :D

Aside from that, the Johan board would have been great for most people but the nose and tail kicks were too steep for me and I kept getting ghost pop.  It has a very square nose and tail, measured 8.6 over the front trucks and 8.38 over the rear.  Fit 149s perfectly.  It is PS wood

Quasi 8.5"
Thunder 149 Polish with Bones Mediums
SF F4 99d Conical 52mm
Cortina Gran Turismo Bearings

Been riding exclusively 8.5" Mother then Quasi for last few years. PS Stix shape and thickness feels much better to me than BBS/Generator.

Thanks homie! BTW its a damn shame what happens when we get older (I'm beyond my twenties as well but not by much). Not only is it a battle to find the time, the body just ain't good on certain days (I got a replaced cartilage in my knee, its hard to warm it up some days). I think it's sick you try out all the gear. To me you're a good guy to ask because you've had experience with a lot different product. Always stoked to see a BMCSTeve set up!

p.s. I'm tempted to order off SoCal, however my local is SW haha. It's a weird predicament for me, because while I'd rather support my local...thats an online shop.

Can't go wrong with most of those Quasi decks (graphic wise). Haven't ridden PS Stix in a while, but lookin to pick up a WKND (8.6X32.25), and then this casper brooker Isle (bbs) thats like an 8.75. Lil nervous cause the wheelbase is 14.75, and I'm more keen to be at a 14.5. Regardless lookin to being able to compare the two.

I love that graphic for some reason.  Your buddy needs to up his shoelace game a bit.

Agreed on that Shoelace game. Have he tried to sew his shoes instead of lacing?

If you don’t mind....how long/how long the wheelbase on that thing? Was looking at those 917 boards, like em, haven’t seen them in person. Also considering 151s. Anyways, cheers

from what ive seen 917 boards have mad long wheelbases. i think this ones 14.75. theyre commonly 14.5 or 14.75 long, at least on 8.25 wide and up boards
