Changed a bunch about my setup

8.25 Quasi
5.8 Venture High - Previously on 148 Thunder hollow light
Swiss
Spit Tablet 53mm - thinist wheel in about 10 years
Jessup - Been on MOB for years
[close]

Looks good. Interested in how you like the v (I’ve been going back n forth between thunder and venture), and the tablet shape. Tablets look sick. I’m not beast. Trying to skate big wheels is frustrating, they seem like a good compromise

I rode Ventures for years, from like 02-06/07. My moms neighbor used to get hooked up by a few companies and would build me completes for like $60. They were powell/venture/swiss/bones wheels. When he moved out to Cali i started buying thunders and rode those until I set this one up. So its a little nostalgia back to when I was learning.

Are those emboss boards ps or bbs?
[close]

I wanna say BBS. It had then lil notch between the truck holes. That’s bbs right?

Yeah, if it didn’t have no laser print I’d say it was a bbs one

Been going through set up madness the past few months, impulsively swapping out everything for something I'll think is better but isn't, but I think I've finally landed on what works best for me.
I feel you brother, you're not alone.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

I always get shit on for my bad sticker jobs. I just put them there so they don´t get scratched so much and stay visible.

3rd Real in a row, the Brockel slick is still fine after 3 months of intense park skating, but hatchet nose & tail and  few cracks forced me to change

Real Kyle Walker 8.25 full SE x32"x14.25wb
149 indy with black barrel AM bushings
F4 radials slim 50mm now
Rush bearings 7's
mob grip
Indy harware
old Lakay griffins, good shoes

You ever snapped a Real? Anybody here for that matter? I bought a Kyle Walker thinking it would last me a long time, and I'm a pretty light dude, and I snapped the tail off on a fs heel on a bank. Like warming up, mellow bank, not intense impact. Just wondering since it was the first Real I've bought in a long time.

I rarely break boards, or just break them as 2nd setups when they're 4-6 months old, but recently a homie broke one with the blue oval Real logo on 3rd session doing a warm-up fs shove-it on flat, too much nose landed, shit was brand new, so shocking that we had to laugh haha

last year or something this one kid was talking all day about how he was going to buy a new deck and shoes to the point it got kind of annoying, borderline bragging. i said something along the lines of "imagine if he snapped it straight away", came back with a real and some weird adidas, about ten minutes into skating it and he snapped it with a flip off a 2 or 3ft ledge. that being said i also think it was defective given the way it snapped.

I didn’t break through it. It just cracked enough where I decided to finish it off. I weigh 135 pounds. I’ve never been able to break or focus a board

I've only skated two reals my entire life. One was a Chima pro model and the first floor of the house I was living in college got broken into when I spent the night at my girlfriends and lots of dumb stuff got stolen. I'm pretty sure my skateboard was used to move a broken stereo because I can't imagine how they got that thing out of there. Was pretty bummed I had swiss bearings and that was the last time ever.

The second real I got was the next board I bought when I went out and had to buy a complete after my last one got stolen. I snapped the tail off on flat ground in the first few minutes of skating it. I was just dorking around once I got home and did a flat ground airwalk and broke it off. (corny I know but I still do them a lot because of this sick flat ground picture of Carroll doing one)

Basically I decided that REAL boards are bad luck for me and I will never skate them again.

switched things up for fun

Pass port 8.5
tensor mag lights ATG 5.75  - Not as surfy as indy but close and the bushings don't auto turn.
bones easy street v5 54 99a  -feel really good on asphalt
cheapshots & 1/8 riser

These mag lights feel great. I'm gonna go back to another twin tail shape (especially after that
TT thread was started) and to some OJ's and I think I'll have that fuzzy-feeling set up again.

Out of all the brands and shapes I've tried there has only been 1 Polar shape I wasn't a huge fan of. With that said it would be super easy to avoid that shape and ride them forever.
