Got myself an early birthday present from my local shop. I am siked to try out my first magenta board.

Magenta Nils Inne 8.125
Thunder Hollow Lights II 148
Spitfire Classics (99a) 54mm
Bones Reds
Mod Grip

That's a beautiful setup! Very close to what I'm going to start skating next week dimension wise except for the board being a Real and Classics being 101a and 52mm. Also waiting to get Thunder 148s to switch it up from Indy 144s.

That Business and Company is so nice.

Those are some nice dimensions; always a fan of longer boards with a short WB. Are there brands that do similar dimensions? I have a Magenta on ice that is pretty similar, going to set that up once this lockdown is officially over.

The primitive 8.25s are the same dimensions but a tad bit longer in length: 31.875. So that falls under your fandom right? Same wood too.

Thanks! How do you feel about the 101a’s compared to the  99a’s? I’ve never ridden a 101a so Im just curious what the ride would feel like compared to the 99a’s. I’ve also just never ridden indys and but I love the hollow lights.

Yep Primitive is usually 8.25 x 31.75-875 with a 14 WB. Every one ive owned measured pretty much at 31.75

Actually my 101a are my first formula fours. I have been riding Bones stf for ages which are even harder, well at least they feel a little like plastic. My homie will get the same 52 classics but 99a shipped soon so I will have a chance to compare.

These are my second pair of indys and I also have ridden like 5 sets of thunders before so I'm mostly a thunder man as well. Indys turn nicer but react slower in my opinion, feels sort of like you are cruising or surfing.

Looking absolutley sick and fun to skate.
I currently ride an Anti-Hero with the same exact dimensions. Feels a little short and weird especially after it's been a month and most of the pop is gone. Started getting lot of ghost pop lately .
Wish I had ventures with it like you do so they would push the wb out a little and make it more stable.
How are you liking it so far?

Yes, but the nose is not as steep as the Hockey 8.5 shape.

Same hadn’t heard much about gts, they’re lighter than I thought too.

All these sick set up last 2 pages make me want to skate. (And set up a new deck) Mission accomplished.

yea, I hadnt read anything on the shoe either (and not familiar with the original non-skate version of the shoe), but it's incredibly light and comfortable.  I'd place it at a 5 in the cupsole scale (1 - being super thin cupsole (Adidas Lucas Premiere) and 10 - being a bulky DC reissue).  It's comparable to the child of an Adidas Silas SLR (without the skinny runner-heel that scared everyone away) and a #NB 440.

the only weakness is the mesh isnt very durable and depending on the placement of your shoe wear-and-tear, they might not hold up for people

How do you like the Ventures on that board? I'm riding a Fucking Awesome deck with the exact same measurements and I'm seriously considering getting a pair of 5.6s (apparently they work great with a short wb)
