Quasi 8.5
Venture 5.8 with green bushings and some extra spacers
Sml wheels 54
Swiss with the shields popped
Mob
Bronze Hardware
Gonna try out these Clear Weather shoes

Wish I would've shown more restraint with the sticker job but I'm real hyped on my little vintage Venture sticker

Are you just running one extra spacer on the inside of each wheel? I've been thinking of trying that so I'm interested to know how it feels. I don't like how small my 56 conical fulls make my 5.8s look and feel so if I can get a little less wheel overhang with an extra spacer as long as it works, that would be sick

DOA 8.25/14.25
Ace 44
Conical Full 53/99

Lately I've been thinking of set-ups in terms of kicks/fingers of flat instead of WB. Really wouldn't have considered a 14.25 WB with Aces before but I know that I like Aces with steep kicks and so here I am. Feels great.

Is your DOA Toe Tag the same tapered shape as the DOA Agassi posted above? Do you have a top pic? Thanks!

I do 3 on the inside and 1 on the outside. probably doesn't make a huge difference but the added width is nice and it also makes the axle nut sit flush so you never have to rethread your trucks.

Zero Wimer 8.375
Thunder standard 149
Bones STF V5 51mm
Swiss
Hardware that kept breaking because...

...there's concave within the truck holes. I have a feeling this isn't a BBS board, though it feels somewhat similar. I've heard that Clutch is making decks that are similar to BBS, wonder if this is one? Haven't checked the woodshop directory in ages - Zero still BBS last time anyone checked? This board is a bit thicker, and it's not either of the BBS molds I've skated in this size. Hmmmmmm...

I have that same deck (never skated) I will go check if it has the same issue if you want.

* I checked it out..front truck/back bolts looks exactly like yours. All other mounting points sit flush as they should.

I wouldn't say it's an issue - it's just how that mold is. I rode for a company in the early 2000's and our decks were like that too. It usually results in stress cracks, so I'll report back after skating it.

Gotcha! If you like it and want another one just pm me in the future and we can work something out. I dont have any plans on skating it.

Hey thanks! I'll keep that in mind.

I just skated it for a bit. Pretty good though the wood feels a little soft maybe? The very first thing I tried, somehow the siderail chipped up, like mid board. No idea how it happened. But if it's a bit soft that would explain it. I learned fakie flip tailslides though, so that was cool. Also didn't have much trouble doing nollie nose slides for once which was also nice.

Thanks man, looks great.  I've skated the DOA standard and the square shape. I would be pumped on a mix between the two -- round tail and blunt nose. I may be the only person who enjoys that type of shape though...

polar P2 is a bit bigger (tapers to 8.25) but might be able to hit that spot for you

Looking good, but how the hell do your nuts stay on that kp?

Dude I’m so used to running bones that I can’t stand the old metal bushing cups. No glue, no magic just finger tight and two full turns. Loves bones but I hate white/black bushings. Ran Indy mediums more for looks but the new bushing ain’t bad.

I never seen a grip job like that. At the tail. I usually see it toe side on the nose. Does shove it’s and stuff where you scoop make it come up?

I do this toe side tail as well, no idea why. I've never had a problem with it coming loose. I usually have mob. Done it on most of my boards for probably 8 years.

I've done something similar a couple times, I'm not much of a scooper so no ill effects for me. My bs 180s and pop shoves are just fine and never has the grip come up. Aesthetically anything with my grip has gotta be in the back of the board.

1- nice looking setup
2- I just stole your idea for putting the stock top washer under the bottom of my bones bushings. Now my kingpin nut is perfectly flush , which is a huge victory for my OCD. Thank you Spanyard you made my day  ;D

1) Thanks! 2) No problem my man - OCD got me sleepless nights thinking about my kit.  I originally had no bottom washer, but it felt like bottom bushing was squishing out and more wheelbite issues.  Now these need breaking in again but it feels better.

Those are some nice dimensions; always a fan of longer boards with a short WB. Are there brands that do similar dimensions? I have a Magenta on ice that is pretty similar, going to set that up once this lockdown is officially over.

Damn a dope board and a Slap account, not bad.

Thanks man! I just got back into skateboarding for the first time in about 10 years so I’m just getting my footing back, and have been lurking Slap to get back into the swing of things. But I felt it was time to show the setup. I love that 8.125-8.25 size range. It’s perfect for me. And the graphic is beautiful.
