I feel like Indys are the perfect wife. I’m almost down to the axle on my forged 144’s back truck and I love them. I also had some forged 139’s before and I have nothing bad to say about them. Just well made trucks that work. I’m super tempted about trying the new Ace’s next but I love how reliable my indy’s feel.
Ace’s are like that mistress that is always in the back of your head. You’re tempted to give it a try but she’s not as trustable. You might have the most fun ever or catch her in bed with your best friend, you never know.  :-[

That's such a great analogy! Indys call you honey, and Aces call you daddy.

Thank you dawg! With steep decks my shitty skating can get away with most shoes.

I was gifted a reasonably well-used FA deck a few weeks ago, and I've skated it extensively since then, and it is lasting a shockingly long time. I don't know what goes into an FA deck, but it definitely seems like they are getting the premium wood.
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

thats my favorite 8.5 shape, will probably go back to that when i size down from 8.75s (an eternity from now)

cupsoles and steep decks are the fucking truth, just doesnt work with the mellow kicks imo

Don't want to start a topic, but I just moved and most skateable areas around town are kinda rough. I do a lot of cruising but also brushing up on my flat tricks. Anyway, I’m thinking of getting some Girl Smoke Session 80a’s. I have zero experience with softer wheels though. Anyone have any input for me?

I'd recommend checking the wheels thread also ( https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=82118.3750 ) . But in general most board company wheels are not going to be high quality. Also if you're going to be doing tricks you probably want to have a bit higher durometer. Spitfire has a 97A wheel. Bones has some that are similar to that, I know SML has some 92 wheels as well but i've never tried them.

Polar 8.5"
Ace 55 classic with Riptides
F4 56mm 97a Conical Full (might swap for 54mm 99 Tablets)

First time ever using clear grip. I've mostly used 44 classics with 8.5" boards but I put my 55s on one a little while ago and really liked it.

That’s the best looking polar graphic I’ve seen in years . I loved the tablet wheels, my favorites yet I just go back to classics .

Tablets rule. I love a square-edged wheel, and with the tablets you get some extra hanger exposure. I'm kind of addicted to how fast the 97 CFs are on rough ground though.
