Nice. This makes me wish I got along with Ventures. How do the 8.5" trucks line up with that shape?

If they're 5.8 they're high. They only make lows in 5.0 and 5.2. I would probably blow an elephant size load (not just a normal one, like the one where the little asian dude gets up on a stool and goes shoulder deep in the elephants ass to milk his prostate while all the helpers scurry around with little buckets on sticks trying to collect the elephant cum) if they made a 5.6 or 5.8 low.

Only option for lows over 8" are either the tensors that don't turn (not the good ATG ones) or mini logos that are actually pretty solid trucks but everyone looks at you like you're the type of dude who thinks about jerking off elephants when you tell them you skate mini logo trucks.

Could not help myself and got 10min in before dark on the new ace's and a piece of angle iron on my stoep.
Have had another 30min or so since, bushing firming up good although fell about 5 time at the start, went straight to wheel bite but is good/better now. Coming from indy149ti which is a my goldilocks these feel a lot different..
I think I like it, turn is great, pop is great, balance with the mellow kicks are best but they are heavy heavy. Gonna keep them going to see if i can get used to the extra weight, but don't see a problem. Got no pivot cup deformities or clicking or any of that jazz, my shit seems they are working 100% as designed. In hindsight I think 44s would have been a better fit but I'm not disappointed at all, gains on my legs are gonna be worth it.

Quasi 8.375 14.25 ps wood

I'm not good at keeping boards on ice so I set this up

Polar 8.5 (measured a little less)
Indy 159 Evan Smith (stock)
Swiss that are prolly 15 years old
F4 classic 54mm Season skate shop edition
Indy 7/8 allen
mix of mob and jessup

I hope Polar continues doing the decks with wheelwell cut outs for a long time. Im riding a slightly older Hjalte 8.0 with the wheel wells and its the most perfect board ive ever used.

First Christmas complete I’ve put together in more than a decade. Haven’t skated much in the past few years and got this ready for summer. Only took it out once for a little bit but so far feels incredible.

Ah BA 8.38
Ace 44s
Bronson cheapie bearings
Spitfire 55mm f4 classics
Rando hardware
Jessup

Proud of this because it’s a lot of firsts for me. First Polar, Ventures, and full set up.

Clear Jessup
Polar Grund 8.5
Venture OG Highs
Thunder 1/8” Risers and 1” hardware
Mini Logo 95 A Cut 58mm
Bones Reds
that would be crazy if your skin was made of hammers.

The Ventures? They’re 5.8. Indy and Thunder use metric iirc but venture uses freedom units yankee doodles.

I’ve been wanting to get that board for the wall for a while... haven’t come across one in Europe yet.

The stain on top was just too nice. It reminded me of a nice, natural guitar stain so I decided not to cover it. Plus, I really hate conventional shit. I like skateboarding because there’s supposed to be no rules.

My only problem with full clear grip is that makes it look kinda like a Walmart board. But to each it’s own!

@Xen sold me onto trying this shape. Looking forward to getting some scratchies on it.

Alien 8.65 X 31.75-32ish ( SW had it listed as 32, but other sites had it at 31.75. When my tired eyes measured it, it was 31.8-31.9).
Venture 5.6 with hard bushings. Might take out the washers.
Satori conicals 54mm
Bones 6 ball and old swiss
Jessup gang.

Might get some new wheels, not sure if I like conicals but like Satoris. Kind of bummed on the length but I will try it out either way.  Last couple boards were 32.25. WB might be a little small for me too

It's easily one of my favorite shapes on a bigger board it's fat, stumpy, bluntish, full and square...it just felt soggy to me (not a dig on the sect, I just prefer nhs/DSM wood).

If you end up digging it and want another, let me know. I took mine apart before any heavy damage was done; shipping cost and it's all yours.

If its the same mold as the other UMA decks I've seen then its pretty mellow for a BBS. I'd call it more of a medium for other woodshops, but I think Evan might have used the same mold Element uses which is pretty flat compared to other bbs/gen offerings.

Not to the best of my knowledge, which is a bummer since I love the graphic - almost made me consider doing the double rail to wall hanger route.

Right around 9”, maybe a little wider at the fullest. 55s don’t hot rod too much, but you could for sure get away with some 8.75 or even 8.5 trucks with a wider wheel. 14.38” wheelbase, definitely feels wacky and quick with the Aces, especially coming from riding a long 8.75 prior. Threw a top down photo in the egg thread. Having more fun on this than most shaped boards I’ve ridden.

Treated myself to a new complete for my birthday last week. Finally had the snot wheels come in today and set it all up. Never had clear wheels before and now looking at these pics makes me look like I'm gonna be riding a giant tech deck  ;D

Birdhouse 8.0
Indy 139 standards
Snot Wheels 52mm
China Reds
Jessup
Shorty's Hardware and Risers
Alex Olson never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
