Who makes the Swim decks? PS or BBS? How's the concave?
[close]

I believe they’re all PS, concave on it is medium on the mellow side but big wide nose and tail and pretty steep kicks.

Some of their boards are sourced and made in Ohio apparently. This one happens to be PS stix. I'm interested to know how the Ohio boards are.

I like HLC, maybe a little heavier than your average BBS but shale wise and everything is good.

That looks really good. I'm looking for something to put ACE classic 55s on. Was thinking about something a bit narrower and maybe a bit of a longer wheelbase but those are on sale so I might just give it a go.

Crail G057
Royal 159 ultra lights (ace hards)
53mm v1 x99s/swiss 6
SW grip
Nuts/Bolts

Thus far I've ridden: Venture 5.8 cast hollow, Thunder 149 team/ti, Slappie 8.75 hollow and royal ultralights; 52/53/54mm wheels, and I cannot get this board to not feel pop heavy, manuals are an abomination, I could not find the balance point to save my life with any truck/wheel combination...going too try indys next but that 15" WB and short (ish) tail just isn't working out.

The shape is great, really like the shorter rounded nose; tail could be less of a pin shape tho.

Going to grab a G053 and drop down to 14.3 WB since they're (and dlx/nhs) the only trust worthy dimensions when it comes to 14.3x WB...I've a 8.3 worrest twin (14.4 wb) and it feels fine (just so narrow, more like an 8.25 than I remember).

What are your thoughts on the X-Formula 99a wheels? The bones 99a STF’s I have ride great and smooth even on rough surfaces but the slide on them makes them unusable for me. How do they compare to the 99a STF’s, 97 X’s or formula 4 99’s? Or are they much different. I’m really ready to try these 99 x’s out.

That looks really good. I'm looking for something to put ACE classic 55s on. Was thinking about something a bit narrower and maybe a bit of a longer wheelbase but those are on sale so I might just give it a go.

yo fwiw i have them on a new deal andy howell, 9.4 at the widest, about 8.6 over the back truck, 9.1 over the front, 14 wb and 32 length, extremely fun set up, not a daily rider for me but so so fun when i actually get to skate it. it flips too! i did my first v heel over a hip on it. oh and i usually skate longer wheelbases with ventures. i feel like the fact that it's a pretty tight board makes up for the width, shit feels like a fingerboard in a good way.

I've got them on a Dane 1 right now. I am pretty much only skating an indoor wooden flow bowl right now, and think the short WB and Aces is just going to make things less enjoyable in that scenario. Honestly the Polar 8.5 with Indy's I have right now is probably perfect, but you know, madness.

Primitive 8.38" Robert Neal, 6.75" Tail, 7" Nose, 14-1/8" Wheelbase
This board has A LOT less concave and a lot flatter kicks than the other 5x 8.38" boards I have received from Primitive. It is from a 2020 drop which is older than the other boards i got. Decided to put it on because I am curious how it skates compared to the others.

Spitfire Formula 4 Classic Full, 52mm, 99a
Saw these at the local and I know they are pretty rare these days so thought I'd size up and chonk up a bit too from the standard classics just to get a little more life out of em. Was on 51mm Classics last time.

Thunder Jamie Foy Team 148
Love the Dark Blue baseplate and clear yellow bushings. also Foy one of my favorite skaters :) But no change here from last time really.

Bronson Bearings, Eric Dressen
Decided not to cheap out on the bearings... I actually was almost not going to buy them and said I will just buy the Andale's for $20 instead to make it a DLX complete. He said "if you buy the bronsons ill give you the Andale's for free". so here we are. I thought the gold / red were the coolest color out of the ones he had.

Shorty's Silverado's, 1"
Make sure you put 1" hardware in Thunder Team trucks. 7/8" won't be long enough.

Mob Grip
Normally I just use the primitive grip I get for cheap, but it is kind of a pain in the ass (some of the backing gets stuck to the adhesive and you have to pick it off...) I had a sheet of MOB that was lying around for like 2 years and decided I should probably just use it up before it gets too dry. It looked like it was going to to be air bubbly and wrinkly when I was applying it but after I rolled it out somehow there wasn't a single bubble. I don't usually like how abrasive this stuff is either but I thought maybe it could help compensate for the flatter concave / kicks.

Primitive Franky Villani 8.75" Egg Shape
These were on sale so I thought I'd try them, and also I thought the graphic was rad, so I got 2. I was riding the 9.125" egg before. This size is actually probably a little more manageable for me, and it also fits the trucks a little better.

OJ Elite Nomads, 57mm, 95a
OJ sent me these wheels so I thought I would try them. I was riding 95a Natas wheel with the OJ-C formula at 58mm. it was very hard to slide so i stopped riding them and went to 54mm F4 Conical Full. If these don't work out I might switch to F4 Classic 56mm because I can get them on sale. These will probably be really fast at least.

Ace AF1 60
Couldn't justify buying another set of new trucks for this size cause I don't ride it that much. I might try Slappy next time for this size.

Andale Buttas Bearings
Got em for free and wanted to put new bearings in these wheels

Independent 7/8" Hardware
