Man, you guys are super liberal with your rusty stickers! I put 1 on a board, trying to make them last.
[close]

Ahah you go through a lot more boards than us. I change a board in +/- 4 months since I cant skate that much, so I think I have stickers to last me some years ahah And I can always wear his shirt...

Anyway, 20matar, that's cool to see so many brazilian stuff in your set up. I know international (gringo) brands are really expensive there, that's why Brazil has such a big inner skate market isnt it?

Pretty much. Imports are expensive but we're fortunate to have a strong scene and brands. I got a great deal on those Indys, but I was considering to get myself a set of size-appropriate Crail trucks before entering a derelict surf store that was pretty much giving them away. Posso! (with the exclamation point!) is an interesting local brand, but the grip is probably an afterthought to their decks and wheels. Kronik does a little bit of everything, including weird penny-knockoffs... not really a big fan.

Whatsup everybody? I'm kinda going crazy cause I ordered a pair of indy 149 and three 8.5 decks. Been looking at some pictures here but I'm not convinced that I made the right choice. What do you all think is better for the 8.5 decks? 149 or 159? I want it to be perfectly aligned just like my 139s are with my 8.0..

149s are 8.5". I can't see a reason going for anything else on a 8.5" deck...

i like my 149 on my 8.5,  but i do also have
three spacers on the inner side of the axle.

You'll be fine with 149s on an 8.5

If you want the axles to line up with the the deck, 149s. if you want your wheels (depending on wheel shape) to line up, 159s. 149s if you skate more street, 159s if you skate more tranny. but in reality, either size will be just fine.

grind away the OCD and you'll feel better by the time you've got a groove going.

So after about a month delay (apparently from awful snowfall/weather) my Killing Floor board arrived. I'm still gonna skate my current deck a little bit more since it isn't too messed up.  I can't wait to set this one up soon though.

Their boards rule! Enjoy!

Fuck man I really want to get a TKF after winter ends but I also want one of Dane Brady's first models once those are released but I don't go through boards fast enough to justify getting both at once. I've skated a Polar before and wasn't really that happy with it to be honest, it was too flat for me but want to support Dane.

Let me know what you think about this board and if it sounds good, I might just get one of those.

Yeah you're right it's pretty OCD, I may just buy some 159s cause I've been skating way more tranny lately but it shoulda been common sense that an 8.5 axle goes with an 8.5 deck, I guess just looking at everyone's different setup got me over thinking it. Anyways, thank you to both of you guys especially NL for the details.

Whoa. Ask him what the fuck is STICKERS supposed to be, please. Was that a brand, a store, or what? I know he's sponsored by Landfeet shoes, which quite frankly I'd never buy... or would I? Maybe one day in clearance.  Seeing Lekinho's pop in person must be wild! He's been in Finland for quite a while, too... is he staying?

The lack of tail on the go30 made it one of the worst boards I'd ever had. Had ventures on it too so the tail was almost nonexistent.

really? After my current welcome I either want to go back to Magneta or try out a passport or a polar. I guess passport and magenta are pretty much the same but those polar shaped boards look really fun? who has ridden one, and what size was it?

what other companies make a board similar to the B16?  Currently on a streak of that shape but all the new baker graphics are garbage and theres only a few of that size this season. anyone had the anti hero 8.4?

Yeah, it sucked.  I will say that the one I got was a popsicle, not any of their shapes, and it was early on in TOA being a serious distribution company so they might have switched molds or something since then.  I can say that my experiences with Magenta boards have been top notch and if I wasn't so stoked on TKF's graphics, I would probably get another.  I'm skating a Quasi now and it's fine--nothing great, nothing horrible, but I loved every second on my Magenta.

Yeah, my last magenta was probably one of the best boards I've ever skated. I recently sized up from a 7.75 though #oldman90sproblems and am looking for that sweet spot from somewhere around 8.25 - 8.375 passport is killing it at the moment too and it would be great to support an Aussie company again (I think my last board from Aus was an Omni way back when). All else fails though I'm back on magnentas for good!

I was going to suggest the AH 8.4.  Same dimensions as the B16 but a little more concave and a little rounder nose and tail.  I've had both and still prefer the B16 because I like flatter boards

The Anti-Hero 8.38 has flat concave, at least to me it does, and it was an easy transition from B16. Bigger tail too, which I like.

I stayed away from polar in the beginning because of people here saying they were flat. I'm on my second one and the concave is fine, I love em.

You can't really generalize about deluxe shapes, depends on the batch of decks.
I've ordered 5 of the same graphic and the concave/kick ranged from mild to very steep.

Is that variation just from pressing a bunch of boards at once? Who does those fancy single deck presses?

I had a really good session on it today.  True to the description, it's comfortable like a big board but skates like a small board.

I was going back and forth between these two.  Technically they're both 9's but they couldn't be more different
