The girl/chocolate 8.25 x 31.625 shape has a 14 inch wheelbase. theyre usually the justin eldridge boards.  I'm in the same boat as you (short legs and wheelbases longer than 14.25 fuck up all my flip tricks) ive had like 3-4 of those decks this shape this year and id skate them forever if i could.

I had a bunch of those Chinese made Toy Machine boards that they sell in Europe that were 8.25” with a 14” wheelbase. Never again. Way too short for me. I’m guessing it’s the same as the Girl & Chocolate 8.25” w/ 14” wb as afaik it’s the same woodshop. Dunno if those boards from Toy are available in the US though.

Bummer. I back crailtap, but not the wood they use for their boards. I really liked my 8.25 AWS, the wb was 14.25'', but having a more steeper nose and a squarish shape felt really nice. I hope I can try out a quality 8.25 with a 14'' wb soon and see how that experiences goes.

How are the Owen's? It seems like they would be almost like a cup sole slip on. I fit a 10 in slip on pros. Is it the same size for them?

I went with true to size for mine. I have kinda wide feet so I think you should be fine with a 10 in the Owen's. If they get too floppy and stretch, just throw on some thicker socks haha

Jesus... that's a pretty set up.  Ive been having my semiannual truck crisis and have been thinking about switching from my Indy 144s to either the new 148 thunders or some aces.  Any feedback from having tried indy/thunder compared to aces?

I have never really been a fan of indys because I found them to heavy and I didn't really like the turn , I skated thunders for a while and I liked the sharpness of the turn but I hated breaking them in. I'm really liking the aces they turn and grind great. Highly recommend

Quick question, does anyone know the best way to remove a graphic from a deck? I was given a board but the graphic sucks. I'd like to paint something instead.

Nail polish remover, paint thinner and a rag. You can just use a light sander to buff it of. Just don't forget to re seal it afterwards.

Loving this 8.38 Ishod TwinTail! I call it the butterface board because the graphic was trash but the dimensions were too good to pass up. I just sprayed that shit down and called it a day. One session in tho and it already feels like one of my GOAT setups, I was getting it in from the jump.

I have tried Thunders on multiple set ups and recently rode Aces for almost 2 years. I moved up to an 8.25 and picked up the new Thunder 148's. I definitely like the look of Thunders and the feel of them, but the turning with Ace's is unmatched with any truck I've set my feet on. Probably because of the geometry and height is way different compared to Thunders (i.e the wheelbase is way shorter with Ace's)

i don't really want to skate any other shoe than the kyle walkers still....on my 8th pair maybe! for me the waffle cup works quite fine. i know some people on here like to call it a gimmick, but be honest: any technology that gets used skatewise is just a name for some foam and shit! it gives the shoe a vulc grip and feel but a little more/ longer time of stability for me. but yeah that just a shoe that works for me i guess! so you should really try some of the crockett 2s if you find them at a good price! i just never liked how the crockett 1s fit and the earlier waffle cup on it and the stage 4s felt and the shoes fit! but that's just me- on the kyle walkers i love it! grip is the best by the way!
