i`ll never understand phillips bolts. it makes every skateboard look like a toy to me. (yeah, sure, its a toy, but i hope you get it.)

That's funny, that's exactly how I feel with allen bolts.

I hear those boards will self destruct if you use phillips bolts, allen only.

Yup only Allen hardware.

How is that board? DOA looks like something i'd like but they're not the same wood as Northern Co apparently

I think I read that the first run is through clutch mfg but soon they will be using south central
As for this deck the wood is pretty decent. Sent it into a pole and it didn’t chip.

It’s going to always be clutch.

Skating a Clutch blank right now and it's really good. Concave is a little much for me but I like really flat boards. Solid wood and shape ("V" shape)

Bought my current set of hardware online to get some free shipping and didn't realize they were phillips until they arrived..

It's been horrible.

To me, phillips always makes me think of tools and other crude instruments. While allen heads remind me of special high tech equipment.

This is exactly why I like the phillips. I like my whole board setup to feel  and look like this:

But with allen keys it looks like this while standing on it:

I run their mellow and medium concaves. The mellow is decent.  Not too steep, but I myself would want the nose and tail kick even mellower. The clutch wood is really durable and holds its pop.  No complaints from anyone yet
