Because of board madness I had to go back to an "old" one which I love

It flips and is very stable. My 7.5 setup is basically like this. This one the axles don’t even pop out that much. Ben Degros needs to stop telling ppl our secrets

Extra 1/2" of axle seems like it would be sick but looking down, I think I would bug out. That said, nice setup as per usual. First time seeing an 8" DOA and the shape looks extra nice.

Did you specifically pick the colors so that they matched?

I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum: I’ll actually change into something different if I look down and realize that by sheer coincidence I’m perfectly color-coordinated.  I don’t like the idea of strangers thinking that I’m hemming and hawing in front of my closet in the morning like I’m Elton John.

I think being color coordinated is fun as fuck. Not talking extremes or fashionista shit like you're implying but over the years it's become a standard for me to at least try and not look like I just grabbed random clothes out of the closet before going skating or in public in general; which doesn't take me any longer than if I did just that. Maybe a wee bit more thought but it can also be fun to experiment with which color and textures match what. I don't especially care of what other people think but somehow it can be satisfying to feel like your self looks right sometimes (depressed people also tend to lose that trait). Probably also boosts confidence and self-esteem or something to an extent, I know I skate like shit in clothes I feel I look off in because I just don't feel in tune with what I'm trying to do.

So I bought this from a shop last week, set it up and skated it without thinking much. For some reason I took a ruler to it a few days later and realised it was labelled the complete wrong size. Sticker said 8.5 but it’s actually 8.25. Mentally it’s driving my OCD crazy, but strangely I feel super comfy on it. New size? Whatever. Emailed Polar to see if they can help me out with an 8.5. If not I’ll still keep buying em but will ALWAYS double measure now.

Polar 8.25 (accidental)
Ace 44
F4 99a 54mm Conical Full

Indy Hardware
You can even tell how long 44's look on that board.

Yeah should have noticed for sure. Though to be fair I do have 3 washers on the inside of each wheel.

Habitat 8.25 embossed graphic similar shape to primitive
Destructo mag trucks
Crupie Tiago wheels
Bones Swiss
Mini logo grip
Bender hardware.

I've said before that Ive flatspotted the fuck out of crupies, but no other wheel has a similar profile, so I'm trying them again. DC legacy slims, take a while to break-in but are now excellent. The round laces come undone easily.

Looks good. Interested in how you like the v (I’ve been going back n forth between thunder and venture), and the tablet shape. Tablets look sick. I’m not beast. Trying to skate big wheels is frustrating, they seem like a good compromise

Been going through set up madness the past few months, impulsively swapping out everything for something I'll think is better but isn't, but I think I've finally landed on what works best for me.

Colony 8.38 (s/o Shufflessss)
Thunder Lights 149 w/ bones mediums
F4 53mm Classic shape
Bones "Big Balls", love em so far
Jessup

Nike Team Classics, which I really, really like. Supportive in all the right ways and they hug your foot nicely.
