I have a set of D1s mags and d2s lites. They look almost identical. It think the most notable difference is the baseplates. D1 are rounded D2 are point with an embossed logo.

The D1s have a lower kingpin with greater clearance. I think the D2 mids are slightly lower than the D1 mid. The D2s and D1s kingpin sit at different angles which is probably why.

The website describes the D1s as “weapons grade aluminum, but the D2s as ballistic aluminum so it’s safe to assume the materials are different.

The newer magnesium baseplate trucks use the D1 mold. I think they started off with the D1 then tried the D2s for a while and decided return back to a modified D1 with the mag base and lower hollow kingpin.

Gotcha, I was always confused cause it seemed like they were going back to an older design or something. Thanks for clarifying.

Couple of 8.75s, guess the Welcome vid wasn't that bad if it made me set up the Catblood II again

Polar 8.75 (courtesy of complements4u)
Ace 44s
Speedlab 101a 57mm
That's all that matters

Welcome Catblood II 8.75 from like two years ago
A different version of 44s (also from complements)
Spitfire F4 radials 101a 56mm (also from complements)

Bud Light SBs (amazing boardfeel  ;D)

how are the speed lab wheels??
Sorry to answer your question late but I personally like them a lot. Their formula is super soft so I got 101s knowing they'd feel a tad softer than Classic Spitfire 99s (what I was riding before). They grip well, roll over Chicago crust with reasonable ease, but still always slide when I need them to. Honestly only want to buy their wheels from now on (unless Dial Tone or Loophole start making larger conicals, been meaning to give both of those try).

stop bear, if you die so does the whole earth. Once the earth fully rotated the sun will crack like an egg and release Apollo’s army. Only the people of slap will be able to stop them thanks to you bear. I have foreseen this event thousands of years ago when you were a big head small body bear.

This current setup is making me very happy, I was super uncomfortable with my past ones, I blame that awkward truck sizing know as Ace 44.

Toy Machine Leabres 8.5
Thunder team edition 149
Spitfire F4 Grosso classic fulls 54
Bones Swiss Super 6
Blue Tomato (silliest name for a shop ever) grip which I'm sure is the exact same thing as Mob.
Nike SB Blazer Low Polar GT.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

The nose on that doesn’t look pointy.  Is it?  Photos can sometimes be deceiving.

I struggle to find decks with wider noses.  The DLX full shapes have been my go-to but I’m wanting to try other brands as well.  I’ve got no local shops to go in and eyeball.

Nose is huge and round, no pointy at all, I hate those. As a huge nose kind of guy I recommend this board

How’s thunders feel on there? I ask because I assume the board has a 14.5 wb. I loved the last toy machine I had. And want to get another one but most are 14.5 wb and it felt great when I had Indy’s. But I switched to thunders and now just kinda curious on how that feels etc?

blank 8X31.75 14”WB (the shape looks like the baker OG shape, the tail especially is tapered. I ride my boards backwards.)
independent 139 forged hollow.
spitfire f4 52mm conical
mix of andale, bronson and black panther bearings
brostyle hardware 7/8”

and just got some white pro skate authentic’s.

This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Where did you get the blank? Any experience with them before? I'm looking for a blank option for times I want a minimalist looking set up.

I got it from skate warehouse. I’ve never skated one of their blanks before. I’m actually about to go skate this for the first time right now. the wood seems quality though. I swear the 8” shape is just a baker 8” shape.
