It’s perfect

This is the only reason I haven’t gotten polar boards. But fuck it, drill your own holes. Chico did it.

Holy shit I don't know how you skate grip tape like that.

I had 2 lurkvile boards a few years ago and they were really good. One had a super square nose and tail and it made being in SD ok. Dolan rules.

Like, do you cut your grip with a razor, or do you just use a scissor?

Can do either. Razor blade or box cutter is best for straight lines, xacto knife is good for more precise work like geometric shapes and scissors are good for less precise curved lines. I did that hack job with a surgical scalpel which is too flimsy and dulls quickly.

It's actually pretty easy to do, figure out what you want to do and then sketch it out on the back of the grip and cut it out. Use a T square or something similar for straight lines and a CD or cup for circles.

YES! 😁

I feel like they make a lot of 14.125”.  I’ve tried to skate 14” wb but it makes me feel like my ankles are shackled together.

14.125 is a good wb for me. Because I’m a dipshit and have an extreme personality....I’ll oscillate wildly between sizes. I should just skate an 8 Shih board and quit trippin, but nooooooo I gotta see if I can get the right combo of 159s and big wheels that aren’t too heavy and a wide board that I like the feel of that still flips and and and and and. For such a small difference 14.125 doesn’t bug me on a smaller board with say ace’s like a 14 would (14 on a wide board with ace great tho). It’s a gibberish and about a vibe or a ‘feel’ these days, the results are trash no matter whut

I ride 8.25 boards and 8.5 axle Independent trucks. I got some of the new 8.25 axle indys as a gift, has anyone else made the switch or would I be better off going for a lighter 8.5 truck?

I did after I rode next to a ledge and had my axle hit and stop me. I also feel like it keeps from pulling me onto the deck of quarter pipes better whilst grinding. Considering I have small feet on top of those factors: I will probably keep my deck and trucks even from now on, even though I love the look of 149s.

My cruiser setup is also a polar 92 but for some reason I can‘t handle the shape, even though it is much less extreme than most decks I ride.

How are the 151 thunders and turn?

I was thinking maybe PS Stix but it’s anyones guess at this point. Svitak’s skate rat board on street plant is pretty similar to the big boy, just has a 14.25 wheelbase instead which would actually be better for me I think 🤔

I have two grimple stix with top two and bottom colored veneer as such. They wear so sick, top gets like a halo effect. Grimple on Chico would be magic. I could see him on krooked. Either or, that ply-up looks DLX.

I think a lot of BBS made boards have the two top ply stain and then the bottom ply.

I have a couple different boards from different brands running this but they're all BBS made
