^ Damn that's a nice looking setup. Im so tempted to try out ventures but its useless cause I know ill always revert back to thunders.

With that being said Im headed home in a few weeks and will stock up some Magenta boards. Been at least two years since I rode one at a time where all I was skating was those boards.
I feel you. I was switching between thunders and ventures sometimes on the same deck. That sticker will make me give ventures a true chance. My ocd tendencies will make me not switch out the trucks.

Overall ventures are pretty good. The turning isn’t want I was used to but the stability when popping tricks is what makes me return to them.

Current setup:
- Primitive 8.5 (too lazy to figure out length and WB)
- Mob
- 7/8 Indy hardware
- Krux Nora V4 without that damn graphic
- Swiss 6
- F4 99 classic full 54 originally now they're 52mm
- 3MC
Pretty happy with this setup, just I wish the graphic was somebody that wouldn't make me feel like a 12yo even tho I like dbz a lot.

I personally think this deck looks pretty cool, but why did you buy it if you didn’t like the graphic?  Why not just buy a Primitive team logo deck or something?

Some time I drive by a FAG factory and now I’m curious if I can find some to try. How much did they run you? Is 608 the size needed for a wheel?

They were about $40 Australian, so like $27 US.  They’re not necessarily better than anything else at their price point, but they’re definitely not worse either.  I’m definitely happy with them

And yeah the bearing number for a skateboard bearing is 608RS.  It’s a very common industrial bearing too.

Thanks. I'll post over there now.

I've been riding the Ventures for about two months but on an 8.5 with 55mm Andrew Allen Conical Fulls. Before that I was riding only Ace's. I love the Ventures. I can turn just fine. I replaced the stock bushings with Bones medium. I do that for all my trucks. I feel like the quality is much better than the ones I rode in the 90's. No slipping axles yet. Fingers crossed.

So I’m curious to hear what anyone has to say about pass~port boards? They look really good shape and concave wise in clips and photos and I’ve noticed a good portion of their team ride indys with the boards which is what I ride. Just need some feed back on WB in general, concave, and shapes, (of tapered or full or square) etc. from the clips I’ve watched it seems like paired with indys it gives it that perfect, light, snappier pop that I’m fond of so any feedback on the company as a whole and quality of their boards will be greatly appreciated! Also been thinking of going with a couple other board brands if I can’t find pass port at my local or end up not digging something about them some of them being, (the killing floor, quasi, theories, AWS, Roger, Frog.) any feedback on these as well is welcome fully. Thanks fellow skater homies/homegirls for the dope community insight and t always helps when stuck on something 🤙🏼🛹

Baker 8.625
159
F4 Conical Full 56mm 99a

Considering getting 151’s, but I’ve never ridden a pair so I’m weary as I don’t normally like Thunder.

edit: Can't work out how to resize, I recall seeing you can add some text to the link to shrink the pic, can someone remind me please?

I was just riding this same set up size wise with the exception of board being the beige eagle Anti-Hero 8.62 and it was such a fun set up! Only flaw IMO is flipping it is real slow and takes A lot of extra flick with that toe to get a nice boned out kickflip but other than that felt incredibly stable when hitting ledges and Hubba’s and rail spots and a obvious given on being amazing for tranny! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Overall super fun set up here!

I've skated a couple, can confirm they feel good with Indys, though I skated Aces mostly because I preferred a shorter wheelbase at the time. Skated a 8.5 and 8.375, wheelbases were both around 14.375 roughly. Not quite flat but definitely not steep. Not a square shape at all, I would say closer to a full but a little pointier. Wood is heavier by a tad (probably all in my head), but feels very solid. Would recommend Passport for sure if you can find them. BBS will always be good. I'm in Aus so they're everywhere down here.

Folklore 8.0 Ricky Glaser with Fibretech Lite
Thunder 147 Hollow Lights
Spitfire Classics 52mm (regular formula, not F4)
Whatever bolts
Whatever perforated griptape, first time using it and it's great
Whatever bearings
1/8" Risers
Emerica Hsu shoes which I got on clearance

Swapped out my old 7.75 Traffic Bobby Puleo board after really trying to like it.  After 5 sessions, swapping trucks and toying with risers the dimensions were just not working for me.  I usually use my nose for popping kickflips but I couldn't get anything going with the short nose and length.  I'm sorry Bobby, my days of 7.75 and below are over.

Setup the Folklore board and it's been the great so far for today's session.  I can finally pop my kickflips with my tail and full shaped nose helps with Nollie and Fakie 180s. The added length helps with my BS tailslides since I feel my feet have more room to lock in and adjust after getting up there.

Overall, really stoked on this setup.  I initially bought the board as a wall hanger but decided to skate it since my apartment is tiny and I'm running out of storage.

I'm tempted to slightly bigger wheels, maybe 54mm Conicals or Radial Slims, whatever I can get for cheap here.  The park I usually skate is riddled with cracks.

I wish... Thing is that all the dbz crap came super late to Prague, I was leaving and saw it. Just the fact that shit wasn't available in like forever made me wanted more that board. When I saw it I was like "nice", skated it a few times without any problem but lately I've been in an "God, what I've done?" status 😐
