Does Thunder even make a low truck anymore? I'm pretty sure they only produce the high, although considering the actual height of the truck it's more of a mid. Whenever I try different brand trucks I always revert back to Thunder.
147s are basically lows/mids Around 1 mil taller than venture lows. The other models are sill lower than indy.

Heroin Curb Crusher 10.25
Ace 55s
Spitfire OG Classics 54mm

Could you post a top pic of that beauty?

and a few new scrapes

I feel dumb. I've been eyeing this thing for a few months. Lately been thinking, wow, the nose looks a lot like a Hensley Kingsize. I've still got my og.. Looking at your pic I just noticed it actually says Kingsize. Anyhow.. Looks like lotsa fun!

New deck, decided to write on it because I had nothing else better to do.

Quasi Bob 8-1/4" x ~31-5/8" (NOT 32.125" as described, but I like sub 32" decks anyways) with 14-1/4" WB
Indy 144 Standards
Spitfire F4 54mm 99a Tablets
Bones Big Balls
1" Indy hardware

MOB

For anyone wondering, it is the FA/Hockey shape. PS Stix also marks their press order now with dots, with this deck being #1 in the stack.
[close]

thats a nice grip job

+1 also the nose and tail look long and I like how towards the ends it seems to widen? Really cool shape.

Trucks - Venture 5.8 (88a Supercush bushings, no kingpin washers, nestor loose)

Did it take long to get your Venture's loose? And do you rate the 5.8's? :-)

Yes, today much more was back, i hope it wasnt because i putted my 8 indies on my 8 board. Because i remember i hated the 8 indies. Not hated but they felt way way more unstabile than my 144. Had my new Ventures 5.6 on before but just skated that setup like 3-4 days. Just put my Primitive 8.125 and Venture 5.6 on with my half old spitfire 53mm i think lock ins 101A. Cant wait to go to the park and try the seup.

switchmongojazzpush, my Ventures was almost loser then my indies fabric, or in fact they were fire sure. The nut wasnt even all the way down. Screwed the nut pretty flush with the kingpin and im heavy almost 100kg. And they still felt loose but stabile, wheelbiting a bit. I have heard both that Venture bushings gets harder with time and some say they get looser. I feel like mine defnitley feel more stabile but dont know if harder to early to say.
Skateboarding an addiction stronger than Heroin.

I love it! I had one of the Ricky Rocky pose decks a few years ago and it was a bit flat for me, as were some of the other Traffic decks I saw at the time, so I didn’t ride any for a while but it looks like all the new ones I’ve seen have nice medium to steep kicks and medium concave, a lot like the Anti-hero/Real decks I’ve had. I couldn’t resist the Ricks picks graphics haha. Now I’m kicking myself for not getting the two Illunimati/Silverstar ones (Hiroki and cant remember the other)

I switched those ventures out for Indy 144ti and went a little bigger (55mm) with the conical fulls and it feels perfect right now

Those wheels are making me crave some skinny. Do you end up on any less than smooth ground? If so how do they work? (Love the way skinny flips/pops, the places I live are mostly crust tho)

It took about a week of curb crunching the trucks to get em loose, that’s if you skate them without the washers. It gives more space for the bushings to move obviously, but apart from that 5.8s are especially good to me. The wider the truck, the better the pinch from experience. Didn’t feel comfortable getting the hollows, need the extra meat from the standards. Used to skate 58mm, didn’t get too much wheelbite either! Only changed to 50mm to get a bit more tech tricks...

Was thinking of trying some V3 Easy Streets, already liking the V2 in 52mm.

Then again seeing how parks are closed at this time and skating the nearby curb is my only option I'm thinking of trying a 54mm Easy Street or Autobahn Dual Core to handle the crust.

That spot is so much harder to skate than any video portrays it being. Always been a big fan of traffic but the one and only board I had from them turned me off. Might have to give them another shot next time around.
